You've got my support. Just think of me as...as your... You know, I'm searching for 'supportive things' and I'm coming up all bras.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

ita, I missed something -- why were you doing support?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We had an influx of new users and I have the honour to be IDed for support SWAT. I was miffed for thirty seconds that I wasn't level 2, but then I realised OMIGOD I AM NOT GOOD AT THIS. I mean, I can do it, but I am bending my nature, and I'm not good the way some people can sniff out a problem. Mostly I can keep people relaxed while I search through documents.

But...I hate escalating past me. I hate that 50% of the escalations were unlocking email passwords. I COULD DO THAT IF YOU TELL ME HOW. Installing loosely related third party apps? That's experience. I don't got none.

Ah, well. Hopefully only one more day.

Such fun. I expect you're being too tough on yourself, but I know you have high standards.

In other news, the gas has been turned back on. I feel the need to go Bake Everything just because I couldn't do so at all this afternoon....

People keep telling me I'm insanely patient. I don't think I am. If I was, I wouldn't have a steno pad covered in scrawls of "You are such a moron!" next to me.

I don't know, I just have a knack for being able to explain a process so that people can follow it. Plus the authority to just connect into people's systems and do it for them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ah, but the important bit is being able to keep that on your pad and out of your voice.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yay Theo!

I was amused today when one of Liz's friends commented on how patient I am with her. Glad SOMEONE notices, Lord knows she can't see it.

Ha! My sister snapped at me when I threw a pen cap at her. I had been yelling, but she had earphones in. Her opinion was that I wasn't thirsty enough, so I should have kept yelling, or waited.

I throw things at co-workers wearing headphones all the time. I usually don't even yell first. She got my patient version. Patient patient. Whatever.

Anyway, that was the only time she snapped at me, so she dealt very well. No--she snapped at me when I put weight on the foot, but that's a different paradigm.

I know you have high standards.

Me and Mr. Benz--perfection or nothing,

My TiVo doesn't see the new drive...

I don't know what to throw first.

98% of the time I can. If I couldn't connect into their computers and take over, I'd go mad.

So far the only time I snapped at Liz was when she started lecturing me for shifting her car from 2nd into 3rd at 250 rpms when I should have done it at 300 rpms. It was 6:30 in the morning. I still feel justified for having snapped back at her.

That sounds about right, Burrell.
