Maybe I should be worried that my legs seem to be hairless these days.
Not to cry wolf, but losing all the hair on my arms and legs was the first symptom of my alopecia. Not that I mind not having to shave... You should maybe see a dermatologist.
It can also be the sign of a circulatory problem.
Andi, you have told your doctor about the hair and eyelash loss, right? My pet theory is that whenever the body is stressed and needs to conserve resources, hair production stops because it's not essential.
I quit the doctor and the meds. Too much fuss and bother if all I really miss are the eyelashes.
The combination of the congestion from this cold (which isn't bad, just there ) and healed-but,yeah-corneal-abrasion+pinkeye-a-week-ago makes staring at a computer screen to get through 200+ emails less than comfortable. Can I go home now?
I've stripped wallpaper from several rooms. The first time was textbook-easy -- we rented a steamer, and large panels of wallpaper practically wilted off the walls.
However, when I bought my house, the one bedroom had Teddy Bear wallpaper that had to go. Little did I know that the bears concealed a second layer of water-impermeable wallpaper from perhaps the 1920s... which had been applied directly to the unsized horsehair plaster... which had never been properly smoothed, because the walls were always intended to be wallpapered.
If I hadn't had the first experience with wallpaper removal, I would have been convinced that it was just my incompetence that was making the whole process so hard. Or maybe I would have given up and paid for professionals to deal with it, which in retrospect seems a better choice.
In conclusion: people who paint or wallpaper over wallpaper are Satan.
Mom had ugly wallpaper in the kitchen of her townhouse that would not come off. Previously the town house had been owned by aunt and uncle (dad's brother and sIL) and they couldn't get the wallpaper off either.
Finally Mom painted over it. And then painted over it a few more times before she decided she was going to Defeat the Wallpaper and get off and do a texturizing thing on the walls.
She was able to get it off a lot easier with the layers of paint and wallpaper border (she would paint over those and just lay new border down).
Timelies all!
So they rebooked us on a 9am flight. We are in Houston, waiting to board our connecting flight to Dulles.
Shit, I have been performing level 1 support for an hour and I HATE IT. Connie--I don't even know. I've solved three, and I have to escalate three, and given I remember zero from the orientation, I'm going to call that a win and go take a shower.
I might be showering hourly.
Strix, you are like the nail polish whisperer ! Thanks!
