Mom had ugly wallpaper in the kitchen of her townhouse that would not come off. Previously the town house had been owned by aunt and uncle (dad's brother and sIL) and they couldn't get the wallpaper off either.
Finally Mom painted over it. And then painted over it a few more times before she decided she was going to Defeat the Wallpaper and get off and do a texturizing thing on the walls.
She was able to get it off a lot easier with the layers of paint and wallpaper border (she would paint over those and just lay new border down).
Timelies all!
So they rebooked us on a 9am flight. We are in Houston, waiting to board our connecting flight to Dulles.
Shit, I have been performing level 1 support for an hour and I HATE IT. Connie--I don't even know. I've solved three, and I have to escalate three, and given I remember zero from the orientation, I'm going to call that a win and go take a shower.
I might be showering hourly.
Strix, you are like the nail polish whisperer ! Thanks!
Burrell, if you are around, can you email me your address.
Thanks.
Oooh, I knew I forgetting something last month, but couldn't put my finger on it. The gas bill -- and of course they turned it off today, so now I found the bill and need to turn over the full amount before they turn it on again. Le Sigh. Being an unemployed adult is so hard.
Random Night Vale observation: I just realized I picture Muriel from
Courage the Cowardly Dog
when Cecil talks about Old Woman Josie.
So I'm guessing Night Vale is like an old-time radio show, only over the computer?
Yes, I know. And I've been trying to figure out what makes a podcast different from an old time radio show. So far, all I've got is "It's on the computer and can be heard at different times."
