I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Yay new thread!

Count me in the not caring about the royal baby.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

msbelle, I am always suspicious of extended warranties

Get the Apple one. Other than that, I usually don't. But I've never had A/C myself before. I've also never had A/C that worked well in a rental, but I've been assuming they're up to spec and spec is shit.

The royal child shares a birthday with Colin. How did that only just occur to me?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Boy Prince will undoubtedly be named George, which sucks donkeyballs. Should be Ethelred.

This kid is just disappointing the hell out of me already! Wrong sex, wrong name!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

msbelle, I wouldn't. That's too much.

Oh no, Zenkitty! Do you have any way of getting in touch to sue the non-painters?

Ha! I have their phone number! Which they don't answer, and don't reply to voicemail. I'm done leaving messages; they know damn well they took my money and never did the work, and me nagging them isn't going to make them do what they ought to do. Suing them would be futile; they don't have any money. Except, y'know, mine, which I'm sure is already spent and gone. I hired them because I knew they needed money, and they'd done a good job for me before on a couple projects; I really did not expect them to just disappear like that. Oh well. Lesson learned, again; stop trusting people, and never pay up front.

I'm all Boy George, George Michael, what? It's blurring for me.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I don't care all that much, but I was hoping for a girl. Maybe "George" can be the first M2F monarch?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am having this issue as well. Looking at the available king names, I think George as well, but it would be nice to have a new name. Interesting that Elizabeth ended up Elizabeth, because when she was named, she was not close to the line of successsion, right?

Zen, it sounds like you have a personal history with these people, but I think you should take them to small claims court all the same -- depends on how much time & effort & (additional) stress it will cost you, and that's a call that you have to make.

If they did it to you they'll do it to others, so the sooner they have a court record, the better.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

If you get a judgment against them in small claims court, you can get the money whenever they get money.

I am waffling on the optional 10 year parts warranty. It's another $800.

Your money is probably better spent on an annual service contract. Annual maintenance (and changing the filter) are the main factors in HVAC longevity.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Interesting that Elizabeth ended up Elizabeth, because when she was named, she was not close to the line of succession, right?

Third, at the time. But then Edward hadn't married yet nor had children. Which didn't happen, but that would have bumped her down further.
