Judging by behavior rather than, say, species survival, that appears to be the case.
There's a big cat sanctuary near here that takes in animals that aren't suitable for zoos, generally from idiots who thought it would be totes awesome to get a tiger cub as a pet. Their tour guides have all learned to say, very quickly, "when he backs up to the cage like that he's not asking for butt scritches. Also, he can pee 10 feet."
Monday is a normal working day for me. Which should mean a quiet day, as most of the big updates are done and there are no--Praise God!--big storms affecting our customer base.

In my line of work I expect to work any holiday that falls on my regularly scheduled days to work. Sometimes due to people going to visit their families, we do not need as many staff on duty, and I luck out. Then again, there are only three holidays that get holiday pay (though we do get float days in addition to pto).
