(not making the "screw loose" joke. not making the "screw loose" joke) (waves) Hi, Suzi!

Well, that is a given.

Scrappy, I'm so sorry. Lots of loving scritches.

The last set of sheets I bought are super loose on my bed, but they are so soft. I think I'll try washing them alone on HOT and see if that does anything. Otherwise, I might go looking for those matresss clips to try to get it to stay on better.

My dad is coming to visit in 18 days. I have 18 days to get my house CLEAN. He is staying with us for two nights and then going to a conference in Denver. If I vacuum like crazy and then banish the cats from the guest room, I might be ok there. I just need to get the rest of the house into shape. O

Oh, and in 19 days I'm testing for my brown belt. I'm still working on getting my stamina back and making sure my material is solid in my head, but I'm freaking out. Doesn't help that dad will be in town that day and CJ has ARP training...maybe I could get him to spend the day with K-Bug and the bf (...mwah-ha-ha - oh to be a fly on the wall when dad meets the bf).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Who are you cuddling, Jesse?

Nobody, tonight, but I also like to sleep with my arm under my pillow, and this would be good for that, too. Also my toes would love to be cozy in the slats.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm assuming selective memory is a subconscious thing

Hee. Ok I really want to watch World's End again.

depending on how snug those slats are, I'd be afraid of Hubby wrenching a joint out. But then, people with joints on bungee cords learn what not to do.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm pretty sure that one of my classrooms was close to 90 degrees today. I was feeling sick by the time that class was over.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am so sorry, Scrappy.

Both of the local IT guys were in my office this morning for close to two hours, trying to fix the library catalog program.

It's still broken, but we did manage to prove conclusively that I am allergic to the aftershave/cologne one of them was slathered in.

Sorry to hear about the cat, Scrappy.

I found one of the half-grown alley cats from the clowder that lives behind my building dead in a parking lot last week, a day after waking it up with some food and noticing that it uncharacteristically didn't run away. It's a shame, but I wasn't really broken up since the ones I'm attached to (two that let me pet them and another that seems headed that way) are all fine.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Scrappy, I am so sorry to hear about Zorro. Poor, sweet kitty.

Hil, that sounds miserable. Is the weather supposed to break? Can you call building maintenance, and request the windows be opened, or a fan brought in?

My go-to red (Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages)has been creeping up in price; it was about $8 in the late 90's, but now it about $15. And I also am fine with Prosecco, though I've had Veuve Cliquot for NYE and such, courtesy of friends working in the wine biz.

That's also how I had the best wine ever -- a bottle of $80 Amarone which was velvety, chocolate and berries and leather and OMG.
