Scrappy, I am so sorry to hear about Zorro. Poor, sweet kitty.
Hil, that sounds miserable. Is the weather supposed to break? Can you call building maintenance, and request the windows be opened, or a fan brought in?
My go-to red (Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages)has been creeping up in price; it was about $8 in the late 90's, but now it about $15. And I also am fine with Prosecco, though I've had Veuve Cliquot for NYE and such, courtesy of friends working in the wine biz.
That's also how I had the best wine ever -- a bottle of $80 Amarone which was velvety, chocolate and berries and leather and OMG.
{{Scrappy}} I'm sorry.

Love this one! Yum, I promise to stock up for when you visit.
Hil,
you need to talk to someone about that. I would be close to passing out. I think OSHA actually has a part on their Web site about this.
Scrappy,
oh man. what a bummer.
Theo, I'm glad all is well.
Yeah, I definitely could not work in a room with no a/c OR windows.
Love this one! Yum, I promise to stock up for when you visit.
Ah, that would be lovely!
We've had him for 10 years. Thanks for all the good thoughts, everyone.
Cereal-- 90 degrees is TOO HOT.
I'm so sorry, Scrappy.
It's at least 85 degrees in these classrooms. And in one of them, the handles on almost all of the windows are broken, so they won't open.
I'm pretty sure you can throw a chair through a window under those circumstances. I swear it's in the Code of Federal Regulations somewhere.
I can tell decent wine from bad, but above about the $20 mark the differences are lost on me. I can appreciate whiskey at a much higher price point.
aw, sad about Zorro. Best wishes to him.
Peacock Jillifont. [link] Afuckingdorable. Skip to about 00:45 to get to the cuteness. It just gets cuter and cuter. And then deadly.
It's only slightly bigger than a deer tick, and has the most amazing colouring and courting dance.
