I'll chip in a few bucks if you decide to go the billboard route.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

When my housemate in university grew one he came home one night from work and the other seven of us had all drawn them on with eyeliner. And then we went out to the bars like that.

It was gone the next day.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That wasn't me! I put in the one with the guy from America's Got Talent!

Man, this is why I usually waffle when giving people credit for something I'm trying to just remember out of my head! Thanks to msbelle?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Matt your post about you being in a much better mood this summer still has me chuckling hours later.

Mazel tov!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have my first ever annual review this week and I'm trying to figure out what I should ask for in terms of a raise. So far I've found sources that say "the cost of living — as measured by the consumer price index — is up 2.2 percent for the latest 12 months" and in "private industry, wages on average were up 3.5 percent over the past 12 months". I work for a non-profit (which is doing very well, thank you). What is reasonable for me to ask for?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

cost of living is minimum raise you should ask for. are there other people who work beside you earning more or less? they probably will pay you commensurate with others' salaries.

Without much information, I might start with asking for a raise of 5-10% and see what happens.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have good stuff! Cousin Megan is now ranked #57 in women's doubles (US Open season).

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I did send it in.

ION, I am going to get a lecture today for sending in my weekly report late. ugh.

My boss does this thing where he is talking about something where starts trying to demonstrate how things are going to go, or how you are thinking about something, by doing a whole imagined conversation.I hates it. Things so rarely go how you imagine them from one side.

Craig's List people:

List the damn dimensions. No one is in the market for any old shelf, no matter the size.

Also, there's this bit of WTF: "Little Black Suitcase. Nice rough wear. Good interior, but a stick is glued inside."
