Ugh. Woke up at 3:30 am and couldn't fall back to sleep. Melatonin, why hast thou forsaken me?
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
In perkier news, I've just applied for a couple of positions at the WA state board for community and technical colleges, in Olympia, WA. Any Buffistas know anything about the organization or area? It looks interesting online.
TypoBoy is in Olympia.
mr. flea had a job interview in Olympia in 2000 or so, and I went along for fun, and it seemed like a really likeable small city.
So Dad called me at 12:30 AM, complaining that he'd "slept for more than 12 hours". When he got home from our Father's Day barbecue at like 8 PM.
SIGH.
In other news, I went shopping for bras yesterday, and came home with two dresses, a top, and a pair of leopard-print shoes. And two bras.
Home internet still a putz. Will attempt support tonight but probably switch to comcast in the long term.
My coughing witching hour held true- right around 10 I had a coughing fit. Always. ALWAYS. I do really wonder if something in our ventilation system kicks in then.
I just don't wanna anything.
All I know about Olympia is that the Washington State Supreme Court building is called the Temple of Justice.
Oly looked weirdly boutiquey last time we were through the downtown.
I lived there off and on from 1992-1998. It's a weird mix of college town and government town, plus you're close enough to rural WA that you go outside of the Oly/Lacey/Tumwater trio and you start hitting redneckonia pretty hard.

Sounds like where I live now, only with salt water access.

That makes my inner pagan happy.
The play versions of Wolf Hall/Bringing up the Bodies, with Ben Miles as Cromwell, have extended their London run and will be playing when I am there in September. So I booked tickets. Whee. I am a little trepidatious. That's a lot of money on a lot of theatre...I hope I actually like it!
I got myself so wound up about booking tickets/hotels I have given myself a headache. Apparently I am six.
