information libertarian

mr. flea had a job interview in Olympia in 2000 or so, and I went along for fun, and it seemed like a really likeable small city.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

So Dad called me at 12:30 AM, complaining that he'd "slept for more than 12 hours". When he got home from our Father's Day barbecue at like 8 PM.

SIGH.

In other news, I went shopping for bras yesterday, and came home with two dresses, a top, and a pair of leopard-print shoes. And two bras.

Home internet still a putz. Will attempt support tonight but probably switch to comcast in the long term.

My coughing witching hour held true- right around 10 I had a coughing fit. Always. ALWAYS. I do really wonder if something in our ventilation system kicks in then.

I just don't wanna anything.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

All I know about Olympia is that the Washington State Supreme Court building is called the Temple of Justice.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oly looked weirdly boutiquey last time we were through the downtown.

I lived there off and on from 1992-1998. It's a weird mix of college town and government town, plus you're close enough to rural WA that you go outside of the Oly/Lacey/Tumwater trio and you start hitting redneckonia pretty hard.

Sounds like where I live now, only with salt water access.

All I know about Olympia is that the Washington State Supreme Court building is called the Temple of Justice.

That makes my inner pagan happy.

hip deep in pie

The play versions of Wolf Hall/Bringing up the Bodies, with Ben Miles as Cromwell, have extended their London run and will be playing when I am there in September. So I booked tickets. Whee. I am a little trepidatious. That's a lot of money on a lot of theatre...I hope I actually like it!

I got myself so wound up about booking tickets/hotels I have given myself a headache. Apparently I am six.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Well, I can't believe I'm saying it but the weekend sucked. Ok, activities and such were fine but the face pain was back with a vengence. This morning, I haven't had it fully spasm, but there have been a couple of medium sized episodes.

I'm supposed to be in SLC Wednesday and Thursday for meetings that I lead. I had hoped the Lyrica would have kicked in more by now. If I have a full spasm, mid-meetings, I'll basically have to excuse myself from the room. I don't want to cancel the trip and yet I'm wondering if I should.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't get the impression that the Brontosaurus thing was color coded.

I think if you asked a black guy to lean 1cm more into the space of someone non-white he wanted something to, he'd tell you it wasn't worth it and would not gain him anything.

I've been KBed by guys, say, between 13-28 and it was horrible. Fight, flight, or give in, At work it would probably cause me to give in then, but be stubborn elsewhere.

There were two guys at my last job I KBed. One because I felt so bad asking him stuff, since he was three positions away from it anyway. He took it well, but his problem was that he seemed to take everything well, so I at least wanted to ease into it.

The other guy did eventually give me what I wanted every time (even the time I played Stompy Away Brontosaurus in frustration), but he also kept asking me to go for beer.

So no, not going to be a standard part of my repertoire.
