Oy vey. My great-aunt, who was having problems with back pain, has been admitted to the hospital after a few trips to the emergency room. Except now she also has a bladder infection and "a touch" of pneumonia.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
We just learned the the Tony committee has eliminated the Sound Design awards for musical and play. They only started getting an award FINALLY in 2008. Our household is an angry household at the moment.
That is sincerely messed up, Pix. Perhaps the Tony committee should watch their favorite shows without SOUND and get a clue of how important an element this is to the success of a production.
It's infuriating and stupid, Pix.
Thunderstorm happening; relatively mild. Power has flickered but not gone out (fingers crossed), and the wind came from the south, which is good for me and my container garden, because the neighbor's house and trees buffer us. When the wind comes from the west, we get hammered because there's no windbreak.
Underdressed for the beach? How is that possible?
1. Oh, the sexy sundresses and colourful halter tops and everything
2. It's fucking COLD. I only made it as far as the bluffs
I guess I could have breakfast now.
Damn electric kettle croaked. And it isn't even 6 months old.
I'm either fighting a cold or...I dunno. I've gotten so little sleep in the last few weeks, it wouldn't surprise me if my immune system crapped out.
The ac I installed last night in a thunderstorm? I came home tonight, turned it off and opened all the windows. This weather is so confused. Waiting on more storms tonight.
I went to Target and bought extra jammies for Grace (along with underwear and socks, depending on how long we'll be in for). As well as Brave-Lego set which Grace and I just finished.
I have no idea WTF is going on and if we are staying in this room indefinitely/until discharge or if we are moving. If she stays in the PICU tonight (and if she did it would be solely a space issue) then I am going home because the PICU is the worst place on the planet to try to sleep. Plus, one nurse per two patients and the patient is in a glass box and can see both patients from there. So no need for me to be here.
Buffistas, I have a request for help from a friend. She desperately needs some expertise in Maryland tenant-landlord law, or barring that, anyone with general expertise. If you can help, please email me at my profile addy, and I will hook you up.
Ugh Kat, I hope they can let you know soon if Grace is moving tonight. Unfortunately my memory is that they say "yes, she's moving" and then lo and behold, it comes true right around midnight.
Which confounds me. I mean, you have a finite number of rooms and too many kids for those rooms. So a prioritization needs to occur. Barring other kids that need to be admitted immediately (and usually that's not been our experience...rather the surgery kids get first priority and then the rest wait in the ER), then you know who is already here, since discharge happens before 1:00. If she's staying in the PICU, fine. Then I can go home. If she's not, then let's get on it.
