Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity? Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Which confounds me. I mean, you have a finite number of rooms and too many kids for those rooms. So a prioritization needs to occur. Barring other kids that need to be admitted immediately (and usually that's not been our experience...rather the surgery kids get first priority and then the rest wait in the ER), then you know who is already here, since discharge happens before 1:00. If she's staying in the PICU, fine. Then I can go home. If she's not, then let's get on it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aggravating.

Paging Teppy, or anyone else with experience with Lyrica. My doc said it may be a day or two before I feel a difference. Of course, I want to feel better NOW. Anyway, kinda wanna know what to expect the drug.

Kat - I hope you get an answer too. I want someone to buy me a Brave Lego set and help me put it together. I think that is cool.

Dana, this is a government list of people who supposedly can help, but I'm guessing they either aren't or aren't helping quickly enough?

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

It's actually a situation with a sublet, so it's not a question of her having a dispute with her landlord.

Is it an issue with the person she's subletting from, or the person who is subletting from her? (ETA: Nevermind, I see the situation explained elsewehre)

Shit, I think I have cold. So far just on the right, but it has gone from the weird sting to full on congestion that side. Damnit. Flushing as much as possible, but probably too late.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Last night was not a good night. Sweating, heart racing, blurred vision, dizziness, weakness. Yep, a quick check revealed my blood sugar had crashed down to 38. Orange juice, sugar water, prunes could not get it above 45. Called 911. The first thing they had me do as soon as they understood the situation was ask me to unlock the door. They Emts were there five minutes later and gave me glucose injections while checking my blood sugar. Finally, carbs alone turned out to be unable to get my blood sugar back up. and they switched to have meaning eat crackers and cheese to add fat and protein to the carbs. That worked so they did not have to take me to the hospital. As they left, they told me that I did pretty well for having blood sugar in that range. Blood sugar in the 40's, let alone below usually results apparently in lying unconscious on the floor. So to be on my feet was actually pretty good under the circs.

Comparatively minor league in the spectrum of Buffista medical sagas, but scary none the less.

How scary! Take care of yourself!

I just called in sick with the stupids attack of the snot. Kinda the same. How is it that a headcold incapacitates my brain before I even take any drugs? Gonna be going through a lot of kleenex today.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes, Gar! Glad you came through it.
