I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Ginger, that's a rough morning. I'm sorry.

That sounds pretty ironic, meara.

I think my bad procrastination habit has more to do with stress than my job, usually, to be fair. But yesterday I was feeling super anxious and could not for the life of me figure out if it was that I was forgetting something or just anxious or what. Feeling better this morning though--I had a migraine on the plane and finally took some meds when I got home and slept for 10 hours. Yay. Now if I can get a bunch of work done today, I think I'll feel a lot better.

They did at least finally clean up the audio portion--there were squeaks and screeches and beeps and people talking etc, and everyone was typing in the webinar box that bad audio made them stressed! :)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

In the PICU, you either use a bed pan or you can use the toilet. Which is in a cabinet under a table.

The adult ICU is similar. I had to beg and plead for them to let me off all the monitors so I could walk to a room with a non-transparent door to take a shit. it's not funny at all, Grace, but I'll allow you this one since you look so happy.

Can I send that picture to Colin, Kat?

Msbelle, I hope Oz was just missing you. sorry about cleanup.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Saw my doc today about the jaw pain. Her assessment is trigeminal neuralgia - basically nerve pain. So I am going to try Lyrica which won't provide any immediate relief, it has to build up. So tired of being in pain. So tired of being tired.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry the problem doesn't have a more immediate solution, SuziQ.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ouch, Ginger -- that sounds like a lot of adding insult to injury! I hope the rest of the day is better.

And I hope the Lyrica helps, Suzi.

I had to beg and plead for them to let me off all the monitors so I could walk to a room with a non-transparent door to take a shit.

When my father had a roommate at the hospital the other day (most of the time he was alone), the guy was super riled up when I got there, and it turned out, it was because he wanted to go to the bathroom, but they were concerned about him walking and he had a diaper on. Eventually they did let him get up, and everything went more smoothly from there.

Hooray to Grace.

Msbelle, my cat Pico frequently got sick when I went away. I am hoping that is just this for Oz.

I've been looking at Air BnB for Dublin in the fall. I couldn't stay in the city's narrowest house. I just wish there were reviews for it. [link]

Ann, that's a ferret.

Arthur is back in the hospital. His kidney values were getting worse, and the vets fear either infection or rejection. It looks like we caught it early -- kidney values aren't even that bad. But it's something we don't need at the moment.

Aw, hoping for the best for Arthur, Fred.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, no. Good health ~ma for Arthur!
