I also need to do all the laundry. And all the dishes. And some yard work would be good. So far I have gone for a leisurely walk, which was also on the to do list.

I spent a good bit of the morning *digging up trees*. Not big ones, but still. Also cleaning up after a break-in by a gang of birdseed thieves.
I am a bit shaken, and feeling guilty about a person that I saw on my drive in this morning. I always see 50~100 bike riders and more walkers and joggers. It is a lovely part of my commute. Today is an oppressive weather day. Not super hot, mid 80s, but zero wind, super humid. Even the ocean was as flat as I have ever seen it. This morning there was a young man walking in full military cammo uniform, boots, jacket, backpack, and HELMET walking north on A1A.
Of course I only saw him for moments, but he didn't seem in any distress. But it was just wrong. If nothing else he could succumb to heat exhaustion or dehydration. But I was just really concerned that he was in trouble. I feel like I should have done something. I am trying to justify in my mind my lack of action. There were surely at least 50 walkers/joggers that shared the path with him. And A1A is a very heavily patrolled road by city and county police. I just hope he is okay. It has left me feeling a discomfort that is hard to describe.
I'm sorry you're distressed, Laura. I hope he is okay.
Invitations sent out. Evite will send printed cards out, but they still want e-mail addresses for the people who are getting the paper invitations. That's why I want to send them cards, evite, because they do not have or I do not know their e-mail addresses. Sigh.
OK, time for a cup of tea and then I will get started on dishes.
Sorry you're distressed, too, Laura. It's hard to know, with those fleeting moments.
I'm going to this today, which pairs local chefs and farmers. It should be delicious, as long as we don't get thunder stormed on too heavily.
Oh, that sounds like a most excellent time!
Yum, farm to fork.
I got to be a non-invalid yesterday, and went out to look at art with a friend. It's Open Studios weekend in the area, so all these artists you don't usually see have their places open. I saw some stuff I really liked, but as my friend said, I just bought an ear, so no art for me. And then I had dinner at my sister's house. Turns out I can drive forward, but backing up is still a problem, what with all the looking around you have to do.
This morning the dog got an hour-long walk, and I've done some laundry, and I even did my yard work, a bunch of pruning. But it was hard, and I kept getting dizzy, and it's HOT out there already. So now I'm on the nice cool futon with a glass of ice water.
Later I will go to the store, and do some filing, and make chickpea-feta stew for dinner & freezing.
My exciting day!
Oh, wait, I wanted to share this. I don't even watch GoT, but that actress Gwendolyn Christie seems awesome: [link]
Farm to fork sounds great!
I had a lovely bike ride around town this morning. Tonight I'll be going to a Planned Parenthood fundraiser. I should clean out the fridge, but I'm so not feeling it.
That's terrific. What do you call that, a gifset?
Round one of dishes done. I need to rest before I tackle laundry and I failed to put the kettle on properly so I have not yet had tea. Gonna be a long day. The plan is to cap it off with a swim around 6 when the pool at my gym supposedly becomes the exclusive domain of lap swimmers.
Laura, perhaps he is training for survival in harsh conditions.
I really need to drag myself into work so that I can get prepared for the week. Maybe I'll go in long enough to grab stuff to bring home.
