There's a high school student who has been working here part-time in some kind of internship program for the last year or more, and I have never met him -- and actually had no idea who he was until last week -- but he sends out these "Good Morning!" emails on days he's here that are so great! He totally brightens my day. And today's his last day. Sad. This morning's email was especially lovely.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
You should tell him that.
Yeah, do let him know. That's nice just to hear about.
Bike ride before breakfast! I meant to eat first, but oh well. My bike is rideable and I put it in 2.5 miles in 20 minutes, which is farther than my to work ride would be, I think, so I will have to start thinking about routes.
I still need to try to fit in swimming and a half hour walk today, and get my hair cut after work. It's all me-time, technically, but is really cutting into my doing-nothing and watching-tv schedules.
And once again forgot I have sunglasses. But it wasn't exactly bright out, yet.
-t, you are a big inspiration for me to keep increasing my activity. (Not triathalon-level, but still.)
Cool! I haven yet to read Slow Fat Triathlete [link] but knowing it exists has really inspired me.
Okay, I am putting on my sunglasses before I leave the house this time. And remembering to bring the regular distance glasses with me, because that would probably be a problem if I didn't. Concentrate, self, you can do this.
You should tell him that.
Oh, I totally did, and signed his card, and contributed to his gift.
Ha, I did remember my sunglasses (and driving with sunglasses is a treat!) but I forgot my badge and had to call somebody to let me into the building.
Yay intern day brightener!
Brava, -t!
Me, I'm concentrating on getting moving. I was able to shower without leaning on anything, yay! Down another pound, though, which is just... weird. I had wanted to lose some weight, but I'm sure a lot of this is muscle mass, damn it. It's going to be awful getting my strength and conditioning back.
Anyway, it's my first day back at work: wish me luck!
Consuela, if you get nauseated and upchuck on anyone at work, make sure it is Work Nemesis.
