Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Clearly those jeans are a discard pile seed.

I'm still astounded by the three bags of recycle-quality cloth items I got rid of yesterday, which reclaimed a bunch of floor space. (They were in several boxes/bags, not just a pile on the floor thank goodness.) I mean, I knew I'd accumulated some Stuff, but not that much.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

There were a ton of people booing Courtney Love when she went up to the microphone when Nirvana was accepting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame thing. Seriously, people?

Booing her at the performance is bad manners, no matter how toxic a person she is.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I went for a nice medium-sized walk, but once again walked past Goodwill without any stuff to drop off! I guess I will go back out.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Good news, Fred!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Booing her at the performance is bad manners, no matter how toxic a person she is.

It was during the ceremony part. The two surviving members of Nirvana, plus several members of Kurt's family, went up to the podium to accept the induction. Dave and Krist each went through the whole "Thank you, we really appreciate this, it's great to be a part of this," stuff. Then Kurt's mother went to the microphone, and said a bit like "Kurt would have been amazed to know that his music was appreciated like this, and I know he's looking down on us," or something like that. Then Courtney stepped up to the mic, and the booing started. She didn't even say anything before the booing. And what she did says was fairly standard -- change the names, and it could have been the widow of almost any musician accepting it for him. Then she turned around and hugged Dave Grohl, and there were some more boos.

Crap, in the 4 hrs it took to drive to Mnpls , my flight got delayed 2 hrs. I could have gone out to the farm! Last I'd checked, 2 hrs ago ata Starbucks, it was only 30 m late.

Looks like the same congressional sort is on this flight as was out here; I recognize the secret service crew. Could not place the congress critter amongst the entourage, but I don't know my mn pols well.

UHg, I have a wait ahead of me.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think it only cheers during the run? I do get what seem like random beeps and vibrations, though, maybe those are out of context cheers.

Y'all, I am so tired and I have done NONE of my usual weekend stuff-that-must-be-done-to-keep-the-work-week-smooth.

Cemetery visit with MiL was very nice, and I got my sister-in-law's contact information (she apparently moved to DC, I had no idea). Then lunch with my parents which was good, and we are a few steps closer to having their 50th anniversary party set up. So I do not regret any of the time I have been not at home doing chores.

OK, I can empty the dishwasher, that takes barely any effort or time. Then maybe a nap.

Hooray for Arthur!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

some of our friends had these hand carved in Mexico mahogany chairs.( They may be a little younger than me ) . they are over the top with black velvet with red flowers. They are the opposite of everything we own. Matt was looking at the wood and they just make me laugh. they are ridiculous. They are now siting out side after being cleaned. They make me happy , because they are silly.

this has not contributed in any way shape or form to the picking up /decluttering I wanted to do

oops

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Yay for Arthur, Fred!
