Ouchies, sara. Full. Copper. Repipe.

My prescription insurance requires we go through their mail order service. I reordered a few meds a week ago Sunday and have gotten all but one. That one is what keeps my migraines at bay and I've been without for 4 days. I have e-mailed with them over the weekend and the only advice I got was "it will be there Tuesday, hang on". Today I called and supposedly it "has been delivered". Right. Not. But since their system says it was received, they have to jump through hoops to have it marked as "lost in the mail" before they can send me another refill - arriving when?

As I express my utter frustration, through the imminent migraine, she mentions I can take my old bottle my retail pharmacy and have them contact the insurance and fill it for me today. Geeeee. You couldn't have said that up front? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

From yesterday:

Are you liking it, Calli?

I'm loving the tai chi. The instructor is great and I like my class mates. I bought the t-shirt, so I guess I'm committed now.

I'm sorry about the plumbing woes, sarameg.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I bought the t-shirt, so I guess I'm committed now.

Ha! That is awesome. I'm glad you are enjoying it. I miss having a Tai Chi Center I could go to before work, that was great.

Congrats, Suzi! Sorry about the neds mixup though.

Sorry, sarameg. Glad he can get started today...

Work is making my stomach hurt. So I am pouring more cofee down my throat. I realize this is not a good plan, but it is necessary in the short term...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ouch, sara.

Hey, speaking of recent Jeopardy champions, here's a great thing about the UCSB shooter from Arthur Chu: [link] (Which I now realize I got from some of you people on the Facebook....)

brillig

Now that we've replaced the screwed up sensor in the new Jeep, it has revealed itself to be a sturdy road warrior. It's surprisingly easy on gas, and it's handled two trips a day to Salt Lake--100 miles round trip each--with little quibble. I think Hubby covets it, but too bad, it's mine.

That's good to hear, Connie! Glad it's now working out for you.

Suzi, that's part of why I hate the whole "prescriptions by mail" thing they're all trying to force us into.

I made an appointment for 9AM to get a lab draw at the doctor's office. Get there at 8:55. Wait. Wait. Swear several people are taken back for lab draws who got there after me. At 9:15 ask what the story is. The girl at the desk comes over a minute later and apologizes for the wait and hands me a starbucks card and says it'll be a few minutes more. Finally called in at 9:25...out by 9:30. Something about having the starbucks cards handy tells me this is not uncommon...

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I think my caffeine is broken.

Meara - I told them I was switching ALL my prescriptions to retail. If they give me crap, I have this little experience to throw back at them. They showed up today but they make me sleepy, so I'm trying to decide which meds to take during the day to keep this at bay.

CJ is OUT OF SCHOOL (until summer school starts). Also means he is back on the search and rescue team! We have a fund raiser tonight and he gets to show up in uniform.

Not to mention, both of my meds were way more expensive by mail than just going to CVS.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
