Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

It's definitely not standard for them. They were dealing with some other sort of complicated appointment confusion that didn't sound like it was their fault when I walked in there, so I see how it happened.

If I weren't waiting on the plumber, they would've rescheduled me for 11.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Freon in the A/C replaced, dye put in the system to find the leak. Sigh.

I believe the plumbers are here...

Today is my 23rd work anniversary. I got an auto-congrats message from our company president but then my boss replied with the nicest words. I am so lucky to have found a job I enjoy and that has kept me challanged over the years.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Wow, Suzi! That is some record, especially these days!

Because books.

That's incredible, Suzi! Congratulations!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's amazing, Suzi! Congrats!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congrats Suzi.

Kids made us late for the bus this morning and I lost it and yelled at them. Ugh. Not a good move on my part, but SO ANNOYING on theirs since I committed to going up to the school later today to attend some events there. PLUS I was busy planning Isaac's (late) birthday party all day yesterday. Growl. Can it be summer already?

Sad about Maya Angelou. I have such a clear memory of the first time I read I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings.

Okay, DH is home, so I need to get on with the morning.

Congrat!

Bad news: need a full repipe. Worse news: caused by galvanic corrosion electrolysis ( I knew he was using the wrong word) , not covered by warranty. $1500.

Better news, he's willing to come out tonight to do the work. As in starting at 9. I don't care, I'll be up.

Future worse news: my hot water supply to the second floor is next. I guess I'll start getting quotes on that. That may require demo. Sigh.

Ouchies, sara. Full. Copper. Repipe.

My prescription insurance requires we go through their mail order service. I reordered a few meds a week ago Sunday and have gotten all but one. That one is what keeps my migraines at bay and I've been without for 4 days. I have e-mailed with them over the weekend and the only advice I got was "it will be there Tuesday, hang on". Today I called and supposedly it "has been delivered". Right. Not. But since their system says it was received, they have to jump through hoops to have it marked as "lost in the mail" before they can send me another refill - arriving when?

As I express my utter frustration, through the imminent migraine, she mentions I can take my old bottle my retail pharmacy and have them contact the insurance and fill it for me today. Geeeee. You couldn't have said that up front? Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
