Triumph! I remembered the easy way to open the bag of birdseed (usually I do it the hard way while muttering to myself that there was an easier way).
I take my triumphs where I find them.

argh.
So I had surgery on my ear on Friday, to correct a congenital hearing loss I've had since I was a child. I thought it was going to be minor surgery, but it wasn't, so much. I reacted really badly to the anaesthetic, even with a scopalamine patch to settle my stomach.
I spent all weekend trapped in my house, mostly unable to read, and not able to eat much. And now I'm still suffering from vertigo, which makes driving or taking the bus to work really not a good option.
I lost some weight, but I don't recommend this as a useful diet. For one thing, I can't exercise more than easy walking for two weeks.
Oh wow, that's awful.
I'm now on vendor # 2 from the warrantee because the first couldn't get here until Monday!
AHHHHHHRG.
I think, sometimes, that doctors use the word minor surgery for surgery that is out patient. It means nothing to the actual effect on the body. Stay home a few days
and I don't even - with sarameg's issues.
My weekend was pretty quiet and that was a good thing. I has a short bout of carpal tunnel - I am taking it as a warning
Yikes, that sounds terrible, Consuela. I hope your recovery is easy!
Oh, no, Consuela. I'm sorry. I hope the recovery gets better.
Argh, I'm supposed to be in Vallejo this morning. Oh well, whatever I manage to get done before I have to leave will have to do.
Oh, Consuela, I hope you have a speedy recovery.
Easy recovery~ma for Consuela.
So there's this woman who was once voted the best massage therapist in Chicago. I'd never been to her, even though she lives a block from me, because all her massages are at least two hours and thus more expensive. So I saw her last night and she told me her massages tend to be much longer than they're scheduled for. I went for the two hour massage and it ended up being 3.5 hours! (It seemed like a little over two hours so the time really flew by.) It was the best massage of my life. She does this combination of Thai massage stretching and some regular massage.
Too bad I can't afford to see her that often.
Yikes, Consuela. It may be "minor" surgery but the recovery sure isn't.
