Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

Touch up paint, duh. Thank you. I even have a coupon for a free whatever of it from Mazda somewhere. Not going to get done in the next week, unfortunately.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So I made it to a GP and an opthalmologist and I have an infected tear duct diagnosis, and two anti-biotics to pick up from the pharmacy. Except I'm so lame I left the rest of my dinner at the restaurant (or maybe in the UberX) and I'm just generally BLAH.

Still, one thing to get done.

I wish I were closer, ita, cause I'd go get the medications for you. Except, my own meds are at CVS as are a couple of Grace's meds. So I'm unreliable like that.

N&G's school had a pool party at an aquatic center. I was required to attend to chaperone him because he was under 8. There were approximately 225 kids there, which was half the school. The center had not only a zero entry design, but there was also a ton of sand. I'm just wiped out now.

I'm glad you are getting it clear up, ita.

Since all I'm doing lately is bitching, here's a nice thing: a couple weeks ago, a cardboard box filled with plastic grocery bags appeared at the entrance to the field.I figured, aw, how nice, someone put out dog poop bags! (There's a city trash can/compactor also right there that all the dog people make a lot of use of.) The next night when I walk by, it's filled with rolls of dog poop bags and I notice the writing- it's from a local girl scout troop, and they've requested the box is recycled when empty. Aw! But then, the next night, before a big storm, it is gone. I hope it is because they didn't want the bags blowing all over, not someone trashing it.

Well, it wasn't trashed. I *just* noticed tonight that they got a bag keeper from IKEA (I know, I have the same) and it is strapped to a nearby tree, full of the bags. And it has a GS sticker on it. Awesome!

hip deep in pie

When my dad come up for his initial consult about his corneal transplant, the surgeon discovered an infection in one of his tearducts. He then proceded to stick a needle into the tearduct to help drain it. I was in the room trying not to freak out.

Someone I know is tweeting pictures of himself onstage with Matt Bomer. I don't know how you even with all that pretty around.

YAY GS! That's pretty cute.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My father recently had a lot of vision problems, including months of eye drops and severely impacted ability to see. My mother will freak out when she hears the word "drops" even though my eyesight is almost still 20/20. Right eye is good, but the last set of letters for my left eye looked so much like ANGEL that I gave up on trying to work out what they were and just say A something something something L, which was at least correct.

Thing is, when the right eye tears up, it throws off all my vision. Driving to the pharmacy was not wise. Hopefully I'm in a dry phase when it's time to go to X-Men tomorrow, or I'll be walking or Ubering.

Except, my own meds are at CVS as are a couple of Grace's meds. So I'm unreliable like that.

Pfah. Take care of yourself and your own. You're just my emergency contact I'll never let them call (poor Colin is the other one--why do you all breed?????).

When I have had a scratched cornea, pretty much all of the inability to see straight was due to the tearing action creating a massive saltwater lens on my eye. Which just caused eyestrain and more tears. Cause with that, you either never blink (tears) or just close both eyes and don't see. One eye in that scenario is not an option since the closed eye moves and hurts like fuck.

You might be able to get away with seeing the movie in monovision if keeping it open is problematic but keeping it closed isn't.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad you got meds, ita.

I am wiped out with getting us ready for a last minute visit to the cousins tomorrow. Seems both kooky and necessary, if that makes sense. But I need to pack or I will be the cause of delay, and I'm not OK with that.
