I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm not a fan of the weather. I thought the conceit was funny as hell in the first episode, but then...not so much.

The weather seems like a really clever way to get people to listen to indie bands, though.

Actually, there was one that I *really* liked, so I shouldn't grumble so much -- "I Know This," by Rachel Kann, in the Feral Dogs episode.

hip deep in pie

There's one song that someone posted to tumblr, Closer by The Tiny, without saying that it (probably) came from WtNV, that I liked enough to buy the whole album. So when I finally started listening to WtNV, I was so surprised for a few seconds when the song played in one episode. (Until I figured out that's where OP probably heard it.)

I often listen to the first bit of the song, and the skip the rest.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, I have often not been a particularly big fan of The Weather, but there have been a few I have liked, and would purchase if I had money to spend.

I kind of wish they were more often thematically appropriate to the ep.

I am almost caught up, and, thus far, many things and people have had multiple mentions. Given that they're using some outside writers, it would not surprise me if that happens more going forward, since it's a very fannish thing to do.

Fay just posted this fan-made trailer for Welcome to Night Vale on Facebook: [link] Synchronicity!

t edit The casting of the Apache Tracker (that asshole) made me laugh FOREVER.

Also, the movie "Thor" looks pretty fucking ominous when scenes are pulled out of context.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Even though I recognized a lot of those scenes, they worked beautifully in their new context. I also love the casting for Cecil (although my One True Casting remains Danny Pudi).

I picture Cecil as Frasier-era David Hyde Pierce.

That's one of the great things about an audio-only production - the head-casting opportunities are endless.

And yes, I could see DHP working quite well.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Burrell- that sounds like a horrible day.

I think I need to start listening to this Nighvale thing, huh?

I was a little troubled by how much I liked Blurred Lines, but now it has been pointed out that it sounds just like a Marvin Gaye song.

Two other thoughts:

1. We need a study on why the internet is made of cats. Possibly more cats than porn

2. Is Blurred Lines any more sexist and demeaning to women than 100's of other hit songs throughout the years- including most of the Eminem oeuvre, Color Me Bad's I Want to Sex You Up, and many more I can't think of now.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

1. We need a study on why the internet is made of cats. Possibly more cats than porn

My hypothesis is that even the most sexual person can't do, think, feel sex all the time, therefore creating a natural limit for use for porn; on the other hand, cats are a microcosm of all of life, excepting two areas: Porn and hard work.
