Cold beer helped, but not enough. All I want now is to bathe in some form or another, clean my dressing, and go to bed.

Oops, that wasn't caramel, it was hazelnut.
That's one of those grumblebrag or whatever it's called. Egad that sounds good.
Aaand, I forgot my nephews birthday was today. I thought it was this weekend. He's 7. I suck.
That's one of those grumblebrag or whatever it's called.
Ha, I've only heard of the humblebrag, but grumblebrag is even better.
Aw, sara, I'm sorry. Is it too late to call? (...Probably, huh?)
I am totally embracing grumblebrag. WAY better than humblebrag.
Didn't you hear? It's a pollen vortex. All the things that would have normally pollinated earlier are doing it now, all at the same time.
This would explain why my brain is all "Man, what the hell is wrong with you, body?" and my body is all, "SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME HERE TO DIE."
I don't see why pianists can't keep playing detonated pianos.
I somehow read this as "de-tone-ated" like, without tone. And was thinking "well, wouldn't that be sort of amusical?" and then realized that wasn't what that word meant.
so, some of you saw on FB--my mother is improving her communications--she left me a voicemail about the cancer, rather than emailing me days later!
I waffled, but ultimately vag'd up and went back to ask for an adjustment. She was totally fine, didn't charge of course, and was happy to do it. And I like it so much better now, y'all. I am so proud of myself for going back in and affirming what I wanted. And now I can do less self-image demon feeding!
Go you! I am so bad at that, pretty much ONLY when it comes to haircuts. ...I'm going to a new person on Friday, we'll see how that goes.
What is in a hazlenut egg cream?
I woke up at 4:15AM today to fly to San Diego. Got an "early" flight back, and got home 45 minutes ago...I may go to bed before 9PM, I think.
Also, love the pics, tommyrot! I feel like Mr. Flea ought to be making a sillier face in that one photo. He doesn't fit!

I can attest this is happening here. There's usually a gradual ramp up of blooming things. This year, my linden is exploding at the same time as the azaleas and the tulips and my front yard is on floral crack. About the only things that bloomed ahead of the rest (as they usually do) were the cherries, apples and tulip trees.
And there's a fly in the house which means Pumpkin looks drunk chasing it.
I'm not gonna lie, it's very tasty. meara, the way I make it is a shot of Torani hazelnut syrup, a shot of cream, the rest of the glass with soda water. Mysteriously, no egg. But lots of nom.
Is there really a pollen vortex? Are we getting it if we didn't get the polar vortex? I know I've been taking a ton of anti-allergy meds to function, but I didn't know there was a named phenomenon behind it.
I really want to stay awake long enough to watch SPN and Arrow, but I also want to get up and run before work. It's a conundrum.
