Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is amazing!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I guess i shouldn't be surprised at the prevalence of guns in those pictures. Cats would kill us more often if they had opposable thumbs.

hip deep in pie

I don't think cats would need guns to kill us if they set their mind to it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

If the one I was petting this morning is any indication, getting distracted by grass, pebbles, bugs, etc. might be a major stumbling block for them.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

listened to "Welcome To Night Vale" off my iPod (one earbud in--I know that much).

Which is very interesting. I don't much like the weather, though. And it's hard to tell which things will come up in later episodes. I'm kind of scared the answer is "all of them". The narrative device is a bit hard to track.

I'm not a fan of the weather. I thought the conceit was funny as hell in the first episode, but then...not so much.

I'm on episode 11, and some stuff comes back, but not everything. NOT YET.

Because books.

The weather seems like a really clever way to get people to listen to indie bands, though. You can't FF because you don't know the length of the song, and it doesn't occur at the same time in every broadcast.

It is annoying if the song sucks, but otherwise I treat it like a commercial and do other things for a few minutes.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Grocery run today, though it will be small. Later, a memorial service for a local fan who died a few weeks ago. (Marty Gear, if anyone is familiar with him. He was a big costumer, and ran the Balticon masquerade for many years. We'll miss you, Uncle Vlad.)

Actually, there was one that I *really* liked, so I shouldn't grumble so much -- "I Know This," by Rachel Kann, in the Feral Dogs episode.

There's one song that someone posted to tumblr, Closer by The Tiny, without saying that it (probably) came from WtNV, that I liked enough to buy the whole album. So when I finally started listening to WtNV, I was so surprised for a few seconds when the song played in one episode. (Until I figured out that's where OP probably heard it.)

I often listen to the first bit of the song, and the skip the rest.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yeah, I have often not been a particularly big fan of The Weather, but there have been a few I have liked, and would purchase if I had money to spend.

I kind of wish they were more often thematically appropriate to the ep.

I am almost caught up, and, thus far, many things and people have had multiple mentions. Given that they're using some outside writers, it would not surprise me if that happens more going forward, since it's a very fannish thing to do.
