Yay porch sitting!
I am still having coffee and easing into the day before going for today's run. After that I will decide which of the many many things that need doing I will start with. But I have already finished off the rhubarb which feels like an accomplishment (it was supposed to be 1 serving, easily made 3, could have been 4. Hopefully I can remember that next time I have rhubarb to eat up)
Porches are great. So are backyard patios!
Agreed!
I forgot that was initially coming in here to complain that one of my cats declined to come in for dinner last night, so I had to leave the window open for her overnight. I have a cat door set into the screen that I can adjust to open inward but not outward so the other cats can't get out. Which means that after Jadzia did come back in, whenever that happened, Cat Who is Not My Cat could also come in, but could not get back out. Cue 2AM ruckus.
Speaking of animals, Jesse, I went a little nuts with animal videos for Good Stuff. ::sheepish::
But are there sheep?? Thanks!
Not My Cat is never the best houseguest....
Maybe next time just mail a card and don't call?
I am an eCard devotee, because I usually only call on weekends. Clearly I have a better relationship with my 'rents, but I don't think another gesture goes amiss. I don't *think*. But your mother is clearly not being reasonable, so it's hard to tell what enough is.
In general, I support avoiding interaction with people who make you feel bad, regardless of who they are.
Dog bed success! Darby still needs to be pulled inside the house, but no longer bolts for the door. And she didn't even get up when the alarm click my dad left a few feet away went off at 1:45 AM. Still happier in the yard.
So I got a decent amount amount of sleep last night, and I woke up in a MUCH better mood. The call to Mom this morning was quick and painless; she didn’t feel like picking a fight this morning. Yay.
