See, I cannot wear dresses off the rack for the most part, because they are too short through the torso. AND I need tall pants. Luckily I wear flats and many brands of dress pants assume I'll be wearing heels, so I can often fit regular length dress pants. (At this point I know the brands that are usually long enough, which is quite helpful when browsing the racks at the secondhand store).
Who wants to house shop! We're trying to see this tonight: [link] Pluses - good location, dead-end street, good yard. Minuses - on-street parking (but room for a driveway/carport?), smallish especially the kitchen, current owner has hideous fondness for wallpaper.
That could be awesome, Flea! Wallpaper is not as easy to fix as paint, but still not too bad. Location! Also, more than one bathroom, which I feel is key in a family.
I lived really close to there, on Bach, longer ago than I care to admit. That's a nice area. (So close to Target!) (And the giant creepy church!)
Meara, it sounds like you need to get things in writing and have her sign off on them. "We are now doing X Project in this fashion."
That's adorable, flea, and it looks like it's in great condition. Take down the wallpaper and you're done! I love the deck on the back, too.
Goodness woman, where haven't you lived! This is close enough to our current location that we'd basically have the same commutes and routines.
Luckily I wear flats and many brands of dress pants assume I'll be wearing heels, so I can often fit regular length dress pants.
That's basically my theory with jeans. They are not
too
too short, but like a half-inch shorter than I'd like. But Tall pants are now too long for me, and I can't be bothered with hemming, basically. I'm right in the middle, leg-length-wise.
Goodness woman, where haven't you lived!
Seriously. I've lived in every part of town except the West side (people joke that Northside -- despite the name -- technically qualifies as West side, since it's west of 75, but...no) and Northern Kentucky. I moved a LOT until I was 30.
Flea, the back yard area looks great for kids and entertaining. And all that wood flooring looks great, too.
I'm wearing a skirt at work for the first time in ages. It's a black pencil skirt, and it keeps creeping up my thighs as I sit and type, so I suspect it won't get into heavy rotation. Pity--it looks pretty good.
