Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The writing was PAINFUL, and the computer graphics seriously looked like they were lifted from the movie Weird Science.

The writing was so bad. SO BAD. That bit where the scary computer avatar dissolved into bits was...wow.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Circa 1984 style, right? And yet still not as awkward as the writing.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This being the internet, I assume that stands for One True Doctorate?

It totally does now.

Congratulations, Dr. Esse!

Congrats, Dr. Esse!

Double seconded. Yay DebetEsse!

Man. I cannot agree more with the CSI snark. That was just painful. Not only did it scream HEY, you are going to see this character again, REMEMBER them! But, yeah, the cgi for a show that is supposed to be about tech crime just made me cringe. Yikes.

I don't mind seeing Patricia Arquette on my screen again, but I have a feeling she won't be on it for long. As much as people derided CSI:Orange for it's terrible acting and effects, I think this one will be worse, and not of interest to the older audiences that love NCIS and CSI:Original.

Because books.

I loved Medium. Despite some of the psychic silliness, I thought that was one of the most realistic portrayals of marriage I'd ever seen.

It's going to be a jumpin' weekend. Tomorrow, I am serving as a walk marshal for the Million Pibble March. It could be interesting or painful, but since I am opposed to Breed Specific Legislation, it feels important to do my part.

On Sunday, the owner of the pet care company has arranged for us to do a self improvement seminar, based on becoming lighter hearted. I could really, really use that! I hope it is fun.

Also, interviewing a new dog walker who may or may not have substance issues. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she is actually good. We really, truly need to hire a few people...like now.

Amy, that is EXACTLY what I said at the time. I just loved that relationship.

Along those lines, I first watched Surviving Jack yesterday and I love that they show a couple with teenaged children who are still in love with each other. It makes me so happy to see that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

W-E-E-K-E-N-D

Feels like I have a lot planned: 5K tomorrow morning, meeting Shir at SFO, maybe Last Lovers Left Alive; I feel like cooking a bunch and it would be good to get a bunch of cleaning/rearranging done and it would be great to get some gardening in while the weather is nice. Right now I am super tired and don't want to do anything at all, so, we'll see how much of that actually happens.

Meanwhile, the rabbits new home has not arrived yet, but accessories have started showing up. One of which is a "cave" made of Timothy grass. Lucy and Ethel get a little house that they can eat. Lucky rabbits.

Got my performance review in the sense of getting the actual printed copy of the review, the one-on-one meeting to discuss will be next week, I guess. I haven't looked at it yet; too much Don't Wanna. Maybe tomorrow.

Ooh, maybe I will put some wine in the fridge for later.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congrats, Dr. DebetEsse!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Congrats, Dr. Debet!

By the time I head home tonight I will have worked 72 hours this week. Tomorrow will probably be another 12. Here's hoping I don't have to work on Sunday.
