Objectively, I hate talking to people on the phone. That instant when the phone beeps for an incoming call is a shot of dread. But then I'm talking to the person, and it's something I can cope with, and it's OK once I'm dealing with it. And I love getting people's systems to work, having them be happy and relieved and grateful when they hang up.
Ideally, I'd be on the porch of a cabin on a Hawaiian beach, crafting best-selling thrillers while Hubby is basking in the land he loves (he really missis Hawaii), but hey.
Timelies all!
Went out for my belated birthday dinner with Gary. Japanese restaurant called HaKuBa that we've been to before. Yum.
I finally need to replace the canister in the sodastream. Exciting!
I may be able to see alligators in the wild around here. Or, here's hoping, a live wild armadillo, though I understand it's easier to see them as road kill, since they're pretty suicidal that way.
Poor things with their maladaptive panic response.
You're in Myrtle? The most common wildlife at this time of year is going to be college seniors...
Huh! Fitbit told me that today I earned my 5,000 miles badge.
Damn! Now you gonna walk 5000 more?
Two miles in 90ish heat feels a lot longer, but I got a good feeling sprint in evading zombies. Nike+ tells me tomorrow is a "practice race" so I'm gonna rest tomorrow instead and do my 5k on Saturday and get back with the program next week.
I'm going car shopping tomorrow. Is anyone familiar with Mitsubishi Monteros? Are they a smaller or bigger SUV?
Pathetically, I texted Kristen to let her know I bought chocolate ice cream because I didn't feel like yelling from the living room.
