Like any of that's enough to fight the Dark Master. Bator.

Kicked the heat back on. Was one thing when the house was 62 and it was sunny and dry. Another thing when it is rainy and dark and wet. And will be for another couple of days.

msbelle, I feel you. On all of it. Complex complicated thought and stuff.

So I signed up to have my car monitored by The Man (InDrive- it's somehow tied to OnStar, but cheaper) in order to save $$ on car insurance. Because I'm at the bottom tier they will offer me now and I drive less than half that. Anyway, we'll see. SF covers the subscription cost via an immediate discount in premium but the service is free anyway for the first year. I'm sure the hackers will be fascinated by my trips to work and frequent visits to Target and hardware stores. And god knows I will LOVE all the data I'll be able to look up online about my driving habits. (I'm not being sarcastic. I love data!)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, you can look up your data? Sweet!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is the NY weather going to be long leather jacket or short leather jacket? Unfortunately I don't have a dressy enough mid length. Obvious omission in hindsight.

I'm all packed except for toiletries. Let's not forget them this time (didn't bring any to Ja).

Because books.

It's going to be rainy and in the 60s, so whichever that means for you, ita.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'd say short, but coming from LA you might feel differently. (It's supposed to be high 50's/low 60's the rest of this week, so chilly for April but not freezing.)

Probably not aaaalll the data I'd like, but some. [link]

Like I said, we'll see. A lot of that I'm like whatever. I've got AAA (though I might drop it this year because Mazda's warranty for the next 4 yrs duplicates a lot of it, otoh, I have used hotel, turbotax and rental discounts) and Mazda is super annoying/proactive about letting me know about all maintenance and stuff (though they are way ahead of schedule because I'm not a normal driver- I might just break 3K miles at 1 yr of ownership. Maybe.)

It's raining so hard it sounds like a street sweeper is out on the front porchand Loki wants to go the fuck out. Knocking things down, banging the blinds like he hasn't in ages and racing from one end of the house, crashing into walls, crying. I should throw him out in the rain!

Oh, huh, I have State Farm. Hm.

Punishingly Intricate

My dog, on the other hand, is crashed out on the couch and probably should go out again before we go to bed but, dag, do I not want to go out in this cold mess! bleh

My Y locker room convos and fb feed were full of dogs' refusals to go out in this shit.

I offered the deck. Loki looked appalled, Pumpkin offended. And now Lokes is attacking the front door. Pumpkin is on the radiator. Know where the brains are.

I saw on FB that a friend from Tabletalk (not a buffistas) who I hadn't seen since 2002 (she lives in Toronto) was in the town I had just flown to. We ended up having dinner! So weird to think she was my age when we "met", and I was 22. Now I both get why they found me entertaining and also I feel very old. Plus, dinner was deliciousness. And happy hour! Gnocchi with snap peas and bacon, Brussels sprouts and kale, and tagliatelle with shrimp. Plus dessert and a couple drinks...so full.
