I use paper and pen for calendering but evernote for storing files and other clippings.

I have 4 more weeks of school but I'm feeling especially done. I think the summer weather is doing it to me?

Sorry I posted and ran. I had karate and needed to let him have some space.

Kat, that matches what I've been learning. It is pretty much too late for this semester but will see what we can get in place for next year. I don't think he has an underlying learning disability, but more a bunch of bad habits resulting from the ADHD.

The Chief in charge of the Fire Science program offered to help CJ with post high school choices. The community college what teams with the high school for this program also offers a 2 year Fire Science degree which he can apply for. Not sure how competitive that program is or if they take things other than GPA into consideration.

Yes, he is responsible for his grades and hadn't been willing to accept help before now, so he is reaping the consequences. But it just breaks my heart and I think we are both grieving for the loss of this opportunity.

Now we need to come up with a new plan. We have a meeting with the fill-in counseler on Friday to make summer school and senior year plans. I wish we could talk with his assigned counseler but apparently there is some doubt she will be back on Monday. If she is, I'll make an appointment with her to double check what we put together on Friday.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I should try to adopt a better planning system. Y'all are reminding me of how badly I fail on that account.

Yes this, for me anyway. Luckily this is the last week of classes because I truly can no longer be arsed to pretend I give a crap about some of them. Other students I adore and want to wrap in warmth and safety to get them through the rocky shoals. And FTR my affection does not align along grades, but goes to the students who have come and shared and strived and tried.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so McPhee shampooed the front Livingroom carpet today - (did I already post how the cats broke through the closed doors are had peed in the living room?) so YAY, something I do not have to do, but also ugh because she did the whole room which means the whole room is wet and all the furniture is in other rooms and mac and I and our 3 pets plus the dog we are emergency dog sitting for friend are all in the kitchen and adjoining back living room.

I have made a little barrier between the rooms and as long as everyone is quite and pretty still the animals are doing the same.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I did find a card that was reasonable and not overly religious. It'll go out in tomorrow's mail.

I wasn't all that close with my uncle, but he was my dad's brother(younger brother at that) so it's hitting me in weird ways.

Yay for McPhee, boo for the cats getting through the doors.

Cody is so annoyed at our cat because she pees on our bed all the time. It is annoying, I'll give him that, but I am much more forgiving.

Oh msbelle. May it continue to be a calm evening.

We are a little calmer in our household and starting to talk about Plan B (and C and D). He is seeing a couple of plus sides to the situation, so by Friday we should be ready for a productive meeting with the counseler (hopefully she is ready for us).

Kicked the heat back on. Was one thing when the house was 62 and it was sunny and dry. Another thing when it is rainy and dark and wet. And will be for another couple of days.

msbelle, I feel you. On all of it. Complex complicated thought and stuff.

So I signed up to have my car monitored by The Man (InDrive- it's somehow tied to OnStar, but cheaper) in order to save $$ on car insurance. Because I'm at the bottom tier they will offer me now and I drive less than half that. Anyway, we'll see. SF covers the subscription cost via an immediate discount in premium but the service is free anyway for the first year. I'm sure the hackers will be fascinated by my trips to work and frequent visits to Target and hardware stores. And god knows I will LOVE all the data I'll be able to look up online about my driving habits. (I'm not being sarcastic. I love data!)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, you can look up your data? Sweet!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is the NY weather going to be long leather jacket or short leather jacket? Unfortunately I don't have a dressy enough mid length. Obvious omission in hindsight.

I'm all packed except for toiletries. Let's not forget them this time (didn't bring any to Ja).
