Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It is called Autofocus!! [link]

I think this might be the problem I have with Evernote- I would have to remember American Airlines in order to find it, and instead I remember all around things.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Now that you say it, that's totally it! And it would have bugged me forever even though it wasn't my question, so thanks for sharing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that system is actually very close to what I do, but with a couple of smart additions. I should do that!

Oh man, now I have to write up two employee reviews. It is not that much more fun on the boss side!

The funny thing is that I just remembered it! I totally didn't get it with any search terms at all!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think this might be the problem I have with Evernote- I would have to remember American Airlines in order to find it, and instead I remember all around things.

Well, since there's a folder called "Shared with Moji" and the first document is "ita's flight itinerary for Christmas" then I can't work out the difficulty.

I'd say that it's because my brain works too much like Evernote, but there are people accomplishing some shit with it that I don't even know. I'm like -t with it--it's my external brain, and sometimes a reminder because I can create a note by talking to my phone.

Okay, laundry done, mostly--I'm out of quarters, and the snack food is baked (I have burnt my arm, twice, two long blisters right next to each other--SUCH A LEARNER, SHE IS).:

And the mass on Friday is directly across the street from my building.

Heh! Thanks again for the offer of a place to sleep. But I need a bolthole. I would like to hide for every moment that's not a ceremony, pretty much.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

As a supplement to Post-it notes and Google Calendar, I use Evernote for To Do lists, Shopping Lists, and as an external brain (notes to self, the hotel I'm staying in and the room number, account numbers, frequent flyer numbers, login info for accounts I rarely use, to take a picture of the fancy Scotch I like when I'm at the liquor store and can't remember, what medication I'm on when I need to fill out forms.)

I still haven't had luck with an external brain. Just systems to make my brain brain remember. If it is in an external brain, then it is gone totally from me somehow. I also can't file anything that I am working on, or I forget it exists. I am weird, I think.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I have played with digital formats and reminders, but there's something about the manual, tactile connection of writing it down that works for me. I'm using a random binder, Daytimer monthly tabs, and DayRunner two page per week pages. As close to New Year's as I can manage, I go through the previous year's tabs and transfer birthdays, anniversaries, etc., to the new tabs, add in pages and note five-to-four days ahead of each event on the calendar pages, so I can send a card or flowers, whatever.

I make to-dos, checking off things done, and moving those undone to the next day, or next available day. Just the process of *doing* it keeps me on track. I forget to check online schedulers, and am very lax about updating, either done or undone, or adding or amending things to do. Whatever works for each individual, right?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Okay, I bought the Groupon for the pin-up photo session. I doubt at this point that I'll do it until after vacation in July, though.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I use it for a lot of external brain stuff.

That's mostly what I use Evernote for, tbh. The Moleskine for the day-to-day tasks & occurrences, and Google Calendar for the overarching schedule (usually monthly).

Yay pin-up photos!
