Um, yeah, totally do it! If they're awful, just don't give them to him...but I suspect they'll be awesome.
Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Steph, that's a great idea for a present! You should totally do it. You'll be cute as hell, too, going by your wedding photos.
I have a friend who says, if you have to eat a frog today, eat it first thing in the morning and get it over with. Another variation on the theme. She says it to get herself to CrossFit.
Sitting in the doctor's office. Follow up appointment. Nothing has changed so I expect to be outta here quick.
If they're awful, just don't give them to him
But post them here so we can tell you THERE IS NO WAY POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO BE AWFUL. And then give them to him.
Steph, you should absolutely do the pin-up photo shoot. Also, your jerkbrain is a LYING LIER WHO LIES.
I am safely back from Kansas. The con was small, but fun, and possibly the best-run con I've been to. I have now tried REAL BBQ, and understand what the fuss is about. (Erin, it was Gates, and I know you don't think they're All That, but I still really liked it.)
I have accepted that I have to do pen and paper organizers to keep on top of what I need to do. Digital can be a back-up, but I have to write it down first.
I think you should go for it, Steph.
what task management systems do you guys use? Paper, electronic, PC, phone, what?
I use my Outlook calendar a lot, for both work things and non-. If I have "remember your 11:45 Saturday hair appointment" pop up five minutes before I leave work on Friday, there's a solid chance I'll get there.
For things that I know I'll need an extra reminder about, I'll send myself an email before leaving work.
My sister doesn't get Evernote. When I put stuff in, she says she can never find it. When I ask her what's the first result when she typed in "american airline" she comes back with "Oh, it seems to have been...[rapid change of topic]." I'm not sure what she's not doing, but I've found it indispensable since I installed it. And if she wants to share my info, that's where it is...
I lament the long lost Astrid, which was multi-platform, and think I might be okay with Todoist. The free version doesn't have timed alerts, but I get a list every morning of what's due that day and what's overdue, and the alert sticks on all my mobile devices.
Without alerts, I'm lost.
Here's my cousin's obituary. She was a whole lot of person.

See, my problem with this is my morning me is not very coherent. Which, sure, might make the frog go down easier. But then the rest of the day I might be thinking about how I need to swallow a frog, and when will I fit in it, and how will I arrange other meals/times to go with that...and then recall I already did it in the morning. And then worry some more, before remembering again...
I am meara wrt the frog-eating. Also would have a hard time going to sleep the night before (which would be, I guess, every night in this scenario) thinking about how I'm gonna manage that damn frog.
Heh. This is exactly why I work out in the evening--if I do it in the morning I forget I have (unless it was like, massive and I'm sore all day, like after Sunday's race...I am in fact still sore TODAY from it (just in my lower calves, but still))
