I have a friend who says, if you have to eat a frog today, eat it first thing in the morning and get it over with. Another variation on the theme. She says it to get herself to CrossFit.

See, my problem with this is my morning me is not very coherent. Which, sure, might make the frog go down easier. But then the rest of the day I might be thinking about how I need to swallow a frog, and when will I fit in it, and how will I arrange other meals/times to go with that...and then recall I already did it in the morning. And then worry some more, before remembering again...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am meara wrt the frog-eating. Also would have a hard time going to sleep the night before (which would be, I guess, every night in this scenario) thinking about how I'm gonna manage that damn frog.

Heh. This is exactly why I work out in the evening--if I do it in the morning I forget I have (unless it was like, massive and I'm sore all day, like after Sunday's race...I am in fact still sore TODAY from it (just in my lower calves, but still))

Our wings are not tired.

The NBA has banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life and is fining him $2.5 million -- the maximum fine allowed under the league's constitution -- NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said today. That ban would, among other things, keep Sterling from games, practices, and from going to Clippers facilities.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I was just coming here to post that!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I tweaked adblock to hide gawker's "Trending on other sites" because it so often was a horrible article saying "Blacks are Cowards" because the Clippers players didn't stop working. I read the article, to which I will not link, and it's apparently a black person saying we have to stick together and fuck the NBA playoffs, and was just ire-inducing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, NBA!

Sometimes I wonder if there's some music nerd in the advertising department who is all "I can't believe I got away with that."

There totally is! You know there is!

If I have "remember your 11:45 Saturday hair appointment" pop up five minutes before I leave work on Friday, there's a solid chance I'll get there.

I do that one for appointments, keep a running paper list for to-do items, and fuck up a lot.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Here's my cousin's obituary. She was a whole lot of person.

She definitely was.

And the mass on Friday is directly across the street from my building.
