I'm tempted to ask for tomorrow off so I can dedicate it to making sure everything is done as early as possible.
If you can swing it (w/r/t having time off available, and being able to juggle work), then do it. Your peace of mind/mental health is valuable too.
Absolutely this. And all good ~ma for the trip being as okay as possible, § ita §.
Trips are stressful even under the best of circumstances. I hope this one is as smooth as possible, ita. Also agreed on taking the day off if you can.
Anyway, one of the things you could do at this park was play tug-of-war with a lion! Which is awesome, right?
Yes!
Fluff and fold was absurdly expensive. And DH is still dragging his feet on buying a new washer. I sense there will be laundromats in my future. Sigh.
My daughter just called to see if I want to go line dancing on Thursday!!! Woooot!!!

If DH is dragging his feet, maybe he should be the one sitting in the laundromat.
In theory, sure Calli. In practice, we need to wear clean clothes, and I'm better at carving out time in my schedule to get to the laudromat, plus more flexible about multitasking and working in unfamiliar settings. So getting it done outside of the house speaks to my skill set and not his. He gets stuck with other tasks that I'm not good at.

Oh, I feel this. (Not in a complaining way; not really. It's just very familiar. But I also don't vacuum the house or clean the litter boxes, and he just repaired a window screen that *I* gashed a hole in when I was cleaning snow off the car. It all works out, but yes, the tasks that require more flexibility, both time- and skill-wise, tend to fall to me.) (It's possible this strikes a chord with me because I was also the designated laundromat-wrangler when our washer died, and I hate the laundromat, despite their fast machines and free wifi.)

Yep. The men we married have some things in common, don't they?
He's in a vodka ad right now with Alison Brie and while it doesn't make me want to buy vodka, it REALLY makes me want to go to whatever party they're shopping for!
That's what I think every time I see it! I mean, I'm not gonna buy Smirnoff, but the ads are very cute.
If you can take the day off to get ready, ita, that seems like a very reasonable use of PTO to me.
