hip deep in pie

I just did a bunch of skipping. I spent the last two days ferrying my dad around as he got his corneal transplant (and also a lens implant) done. After having to put a LOT of eyedrops in his eyes, I feel less squicky about eye things. The good part is that it went really well and the doctor was impressed.

My nephew had his finger surgery, but the plastic surgeon couldn't even find the tendon to reattach it, but he did repair the nerve.

And my sister had sinus surgery. there was some kind of polyp blocking her sinus and there was a lot of infection. She got really sick from the anesthetic, but everyone seems to be on the mend.

I hope that was all the surgeries for my family for a good long tine.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

That is way too much surgery in a short period of time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hope that was all the surgeries for my family for a good long tine.

God, yeah. Hope everyone recovers well.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Health~ma for your whole family, Sue. That's way too many surgeries all at once!

Then they told us the appointment had been rescheduled at 7pm.

Dana, the last time Comcast did that to me, I Tweeted at them irately, and someone responded to me and got it fixed. Apparently someone monitors their @ tweets. (That was the time the construction crew in the lot next door severed my cable line and didn't notice.)

What causes the sensation of something being stuck in your throat, when there isn't anything really? This has been hours and it isn't going away. Should I worry? It doesn't hurt, it just feels like a lump in my throat.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I found Comcast responded to tweets quickly, but not in a way that got anything done quickly.

Am in JFK! With plenty of time to kill, but not quite enough to have gotten on the earlier flight. Ah well. Maybe it's time for caffeine....

And I think the world in general no longer wears black to funerals, but Iwear a lot of black, so why not there, is what I figure.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

She's very crush-worthy.

EXACTLY what I was going to say.

information libertarian

I am so tired of trying to find a house to buy. You know how with work projects, there's on time, on budget, and done well, and you can only pick two? I feel like with house hunting, there's house we like, house we can afford, and good location, and we only get to pick 2. So over it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Health~am to your family, Sue.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh Sue, triple doses of healing~ma.

waiting for the cable company to arrive for an appointment

My last round of Comcast frustration involved their phone calls that were inconsistent with the 'push number for' messages. Who the heck pushes 1 to cancel and 2 to confirm? Then the next time it would be something else. Random and seriously annoying. And if you don't answer your phone for some random toll free or local number (which I never do) then they just cancel because they didn't reach you. Grrr.

Ugh, flea. I hope to be with you on the house hunt soon. Mine is listed, for not long I hope. DH says he is happy to rent short term until we find the absolutely right thing, but I can't see that really happening. It would be much easier for us than you since we don't have the kiddies.

My adorable son Bobby has told us that when it comes time to house hunt he is cool with living with us if the perfect house has room, or he will move in with college buddies if the perfect house is smaller. Either way works for him. Awwww.
