And Amazon will be sending me "Answers to Distraction", "Driven to Distraction", and "Delivered from Distraction". For some reason the last two will be sent separately from the first and the first will take a couple of extra days.
Whatever. THANK YOU!!!
I have, sitting on my desk before me, a check for $15,644.46. Thank you, Grandpa Floyd Sr.
Though if you're handling that kind of money, shouldn't you have some sort of device that would, I don't know, print a check? Instead of hand writing it?
So, guess who's going to the bank tomorrow to set up some accounts?
Suzi, I just sent you an email with some more links and a couple of book recommendations geared towards adolescents/teens with ADHD that might be helpful.
Burrell and Zenkitty, I also sent you emails with some links that are hopefully useful.
My mom totally had a drug/candy store in her neighborhood when she was a kid. It's a different store now, but weird stuff still happens there.
Awesome, Connie!! I hope they at least sent it registered or something.

Yes, Hubby did have to sign for it. He sent me a text asking if I was having something delivered, and I told him I didn't think my Iron Man 2 DVD from eBay was going to require a signature.
cereal: I'm shopping for cars at the local "poor people buy cars here" website. They have a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Hubby wants me to get that. I think I would drive around quoting Mad Max.

COOL!
Or was that supposed to be a bad thing?
"A fella--a quick fella--might have a weapon under there. Then I'd have to nail his head to the quarter panel."
No, it's not a bad thing.
ION, we attended a raffle/fundraiser tonight for a woman who has to fly to the Mayo clinic for her treatments. I got an hour massage and Hubby got a Starbucks gift basket. So it's been a good day.
Thank you Steph, and thank you too Pix. I'll check those out. See if I've pegged my girl right, as I suspect I have. I think she needs more support to get her school work done.
The raccoons are back! We cut down the tree in back and I was wondering if that would end their visits, but no. But that's okay, I think I kinda missed them.
Oh and in more random segues, it turns out I have a basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer, non lethal version) on my neck. More like oh shit, cancer! than Fuck Cancer! Will need to get it removed once the semester winds down. My doctor knows about my history, so he is being very reassuring. I'm more worried about reacting to the anesthesia than the cancer itself.
