Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

Always Anti-fascist!

My mom totally had a drug/candy store in her neighborhood when she was a kid. It's a different store now, but weird stuff still happens there.

Our wings are not tired.

Awesome, Connie!! I hope they at least sent it registered or something.

Yes, Hubby did have to sign for it. He sent me a text asking if I was having something delivered, and I told him I didn't think my Iron Man 2 DVD from eBay was going to require a signature.

cereal: I'm shopping for cars at the local "poor people buy cars here" website. They have a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. Hubby wants me to get that. I think I would drive around quoting Mad Max.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I think I would drive around quoting Mad Max.

COOL!

Or was that supposed to be a bad thing?

"A fella--a quick fella--might have a weapon under there. Then I'd have to nail his head to the quarter panel."

No, it's not a bad thing.

ION, we attended a raffle/fundraiser tonight for a woman who has to fly to the Mayo clinic for her treatments. I got an hour massage and Hubby got a Starbucks gift basket. So it's been a good day.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thank you Steph, and thank you too Pix. I'll check those out. See if I've pegged my girl right, as I suspect I have. I think she needs more support to get her school work done.

The raccoons are back! We cut down the tree in back and I was wondering if that would end their visits, but no. But that's okay, I think I kinda missed them.

Oh and in more random segues, it turns out I have a basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer, non lethal version) on my neck. More like oh shit, cancer! than Fuck Cancer! Will need to get it removed once the semester winds down. My doctor knows about my history, so he is being very reassuring. I'm more worried about reacting to the anesthesia than the cancer itself.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh shit, Burrell. I hope the procedure and everything goes well.

You guys, I went out with colleagues last night, and the evening started with tequila shots before we had even ordered dinner, and ended with a LOT of karaoke. Good times. Then this morning I went to the TB hospital to tour it. What's not fair is how doctors are so much better at dealing with little sleep than us normal people. I am dragging ass today (and didn't actually drink that much), but the physicians are totally fine! Now I'm charging my devices at the office, before I'm back off to the airport.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just remembered the part of karaoke where I totally rallied, after telling my colleague I needed to go: The DJ played "Africa," by Toto. So I was in Africa, surrounded by Africans, all singing along to a song that really seemed pretty racist. Good times.

They have a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

I had a US Marshall friend that had a totally unmarked Crown Vic, but she said the most fun of all was whenever she was on the highway everyone around her slowed down. (Well, that and flashing her badge and walking right on to any flights.) She never ever pulled anyone over for any reason. Her main job was escorting seriously bad guys to the Miami courthouse and wherever. But it did amuse to see people on I-95 slow from 86 to 55 just in case.
