That's Saturday afternoon, right?
There is that.
Nothing is going to be convenient.
Oh, that figures. Does "working on" mean totally out of commission, or slower, or what? Should I just cab/Uber (are they allowed to do that?) it?
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

if we need to put together an IEP due to his ADHD.
I don't want to make assumptions about CJ, but the more I learn about ADHD, and get to know parents with kids who have it, an IEP is a really helpful thing. It doesn't fix things, but can certainly help.
It's going to be slower, and/or involve switching from train to bus back to train.
Oh, I hate that, shrift.
I had to go to IT and get it reset. And then I had to add my account back to my laptop and re-sync my phone, and now some of my settings are gone and I have to re-install some crap, but whatever. Not fired.
Did I mention that it's also Bring Your Kids to Work day? It's so disruptive that I don't expect to get much work done today, anyway.

I am down with slower, but not with buses. Is there a page I can monitor to find out which way it will go?

I am so glad we don't do that.
I have kids. I love my kids. I have no interest in bringing them to work, nor do I want to spend more than 10 minutes with someone else's kids at work (except to the extent that my work involves working with kids, which is another matter.)
Benefits of being a freelancer who works from home: (1) work in your pjs; (2) lunch = PB right out of the jar; (3) go to the gym at 1:00, when no one else is there; (4) no Bring Your Kids To Work Day.
(4) no Bring Your Kids To Work Day
Unless you're a mom who works freelance from home, in which case every day is Bring Your Kids to Work Day. Until they hit public school, anyway!
Man, I don't miss those days.
Is it unreasonable for me to desire my roommate to actually say 'goodbye' to me when she leaves the house in the morning so that I know she's gone?
She does get preoccupied/stressed and is very forgetful, but it's something that I've asked on numerous occasions. I feel like it's almost a safety issue, that we know when another is around or not... and I always let her know when I'm going out.

Oh, oops. Right. I was thinking about other people's kids coming in to the office and being underfoot, but -- yeah, fair point.
