Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Scola, I leave NY at 1:45 on Saturday morning.

That's Saturday afternoon, right?

Maybe we can do brekkie?

Most likely. I'm volunteering at the Brooklyn Zine Fest this weekend, but it looks like they need me on Sunday rather than Saturday, but that could change at the last minute.

We have a hotel a mile and a half away from Remsen and Court . What's the best way to get from JFK to there?

The A train to Howard Beach to AirTrain is the cheapest, how convenient it is depends on where the hotel is.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I have an appointment this morning to talk with CJ's advisor this morning - going over the fact that he is failing 4 classes (yes, you read that right). Need to figure out his options and if we need to put together an IEP due to his ADHD. Big time stuff.

Earlier I got a call from the school secretary that she is out today and they don't know when she will be back and would I like to meet with one of the other advisors. If things weren't so critical, I'd wait for her return because she KNOWS CJ and knows what we have gone through and what his goals are. Now I have huge trepidation over the meeting.

(There is also a piece of my brain that is trying to ignore when my HS advisor was out unexpectedly and ended up dead of walking pnumonia.)

And aww, fuck, it looks like they're working on the A Train this weekend. Nothing is going to be convenient.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Zen--you followed me on twitter? I probably won't post anything there except stuff I'm trying not to doxx my fandom persona on. I don't tweet much, period

I did. I can't follow any more people on Twitter who post a lot! I can't keep up as it is.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's Saturday afternoon, right?

There is that.

Nothing is going to be convenient.

Oh, that figures. Does "working on" mean totally out of commission, or slower, or what? Should I just cab/Uber (are they allowed to do that?) it?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

if we need to put together an IEP due to his ADHD.

I don't want to make assumptions about CJ, but the more I learn about ADHD, and get to know parents with kids who have it, an IEP is a really helpful thing. It doesn't fix things, but can certainly help.

It's going to be slower, and/or involve switching from train to bus back to train.

Oh, I hate that, shrift.

I had to go to IT and get it reset. And then I had to add my account back to my laptop and re-sync my phone, and now some of my settings are gone and I have to re-install some crap, but whatever. Not fired.

Did I mention that it's also Bring Your Kids to Work day? It's so disruptive that I don't expect to get much work done today, anyway.

I am down with slower, but not with buses. Is there a page I can monitor to find out which way it will go?

Did I mention that it's also Bring Your Kids to Work day?

I am so glad we don't do that.

information libertarian

I have kids. I love my kids. I have no interest in bringing them to work, nor do I want to spend more than 10 minutes with someone else's kids at work (except to the extent that my work involves working with kids, which is another matter.)
