Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is great: KIDS REACT TO WALKMANS (Portable Cassette Players) - YouTube

The funniest thing is how sympathetic they are to folks like us who grew up with Walkmans (Walkmen?) and no iPhones.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Surprise, surprise: TV Tropes has forked.

Heh. And Fast Eddie is mentioned by name.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

What is forked?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

They pulled a Martin Luther on TV Tropes, if TV Tropes was the Catholic church.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I didn't understand half of that. And it does seem a little shady to just copy old articles and put them up on a different site? Unclear!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

And it does seem a little shady

Do I even need to say "consider the source"?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hahaha with the dranking. I have a recurring task on my to-do list that just says "Weed." Which is fine, except that when I was using Astrid (sigh, Astrid) it had all these cutesy phrasing popups it would use, so it would cheerily inform me: "Time for: weed!" And I was always, yes, yes it is. Oh, wait, you mean go outside and work on the yard? I dunno.

This is my first year with allergies. I know mine are mild and they're probably just because it's so bad this year, but OMG do I want to just kill everything. I guess it's good I never got around to planting that flowering Japanese cherry in my front yard. But seriously, scorched earth.

The only problem for me right now is that the SO is traveling again, and I usually use him as my external brain to remember what time I take meds, since the allergies give me the dumb. So I'm on my own now. Maybe I should just post here and you all can tell me.

That on and on thing happens with a lot of fans. I've gotten pretty good at recognizing when one of my buddies is being overwhelmed and needs an exit. At the last show we threw I both physically got between one set of fans and the headliner, so he could at least start to tear down while I was moving them off him. And then once he'd escaped completely to the green room where there was food, I had to retrieve the opening act. He was funny, because I was all apologetic: I'm sorry, I usually give you guys a signal to give if you need someone pulled off you, but forgot to do that with you ahead of time so I wasn't sure if you wanted in that conversation or not. And he was all, yeah, no, you're very perceptive, thanks for rescuing me. So then I wished I'd done it sooner. But seriously, why can't people take hints?

I feel...unsurprised about the forking.

But... the people on the fork are the anti-FE faction? I actually would like more of an explanation of what's going on and how I should feel about it.

I try to interrupt her, and she won't let me! My direct report who has worked here for three weeks! Anyway.

Oh, did I mention? My father's not moving today, but will tomorrow.

Because books.

Nicely put.
