Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is cool:

First Flight of the Phantom, Aerial Footage of NYC Captured With a Quadcopter (The quadcopter in question is a small radio-controlled drone.)

Except the person who made this flew his quadcopter over pedestrians and traffic. I'm not sure I'd want to take that risk with my quadcopter.

It was just a security alert and an aftk. Hmph.

But the urinal in the bathroom across the hall went batshit again and flooded the bathroom, like it does every couple of weeks.

NEVER.ENDING.EXCITEMENT.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am so grumpy. I'm not sure exactly what I expected from the pain, or lack thereof, but I really didn't want it to hurt this much. I have an art course starting tomorrow, and I want to be able to not cry during it, you know?

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am sorry ita, I can't even imagine.

In my not very bad problems world, yesterday my student and I were told we could not have our doors to our offices open (by the fire inspector) even when we were inside of them, and she took our doorstops. It was really annoying because she was really mean about it, and also because I have been told by supervisors I needed to keep my door open! Our office building is very weird- it used to be a dorm, and instead of office suites, each person, no matter their position, rank, job, has their own office, which used to be half a dorm room. Working in it with the door closed is like being in a small cell. Also, many other people had their doors open and did not get their doorstops (which was provided to me because I am required to keep my door open) taken away.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

ita_! I wish I could loan you a cat to purr at your ankle. I am not certain what it would do for the immediate pain level, but the sound of a cat purring does speed bone healing. If you cared to download an mp3, there are some here: [link] I recommend the second one (the first one also includes some melodious meows which may be distracting). But since I can't actually push Harvey through the internet for you, I am sending the best vibes I can.

Windsparrow- I have totally been wanting cat purring sounds to use to fall asleep to, so thank you!

That's bizarre, Sophia! ...how often does the fire inspector come? Can you just replace the doorstop?

I could not drag myself out of bed this morning, not sure why. Just...no. And still not awake. I've got a bunch of work to do and think I better go take it to the coffeeshop so I can inhale some caffeine while I"m at it.

Just a big case of the don't wannas. Nothing even that onerous to do, just...bleh.

sarameg, I hope work gets better, that sounds awful!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

That's what I was going to ask.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Good way to start out the day: I had a random yet happy making validation moment this morning.

I've mentioned before how hard it usually is to get Charlie to go into the doggie day care. Even though I have been mostly sure that it's just because the way the dogs have to go into the facility, and once he gets past that one little bit, he likes being there, a small part of my brain still wondered.

This morning though, there was a woman in the entry way, and even though I don't think I have seen her before, Charlie must have, because he got very excited about being able to go in, jumping on the gate until she opened it, and then jumping on her* once she did.

Three months ago that just would not have happened.

  • not in a bad way-- I've discussed the jumping with them and they are fine with it

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aw, Charlie!

That's bizarre, Sophia.
