I once cancelled Comcast and sent their stupid box back to them, just so I could resubscribe a week later and get their upgraded box which they'd refused to send me.

Timelies all!
Weather continues to be ridiculous. Yesterday's rain/sleet was the topper.
William Shatner was such a shithead at the Just For Laughs I attended where he was. He told his people to tell the organisers that none of the other performers were supposed to make eye contact with him unless he initiated it.
PERFORMERS. COLLEAGUES. He lost some long time fans with that bullshit, and you can bet I spent a lot of my downtime staring at the back of his head and hoping he felt it. I made eye contact. What you gonna do? Throw me out?
Oh msbelle, so BTDT, neither of mine did their homework or in class work on a regular basis. My biggest complaint was how they could fail to see that it was a LOT more hassle to endure what happened when they didn't do the work than actually just doing the damn work. Kids!
Shatner is awesomeness, as is Twilight Zone. eta: Sorry to hear he was a shithead!
Weather is not so awesome. We are getting rain, for which I am grateful, but much of the country is getting a really raw deal.
At the moment my hated cable company is Comcast, but I had just as unpleasant relationship with Time Warner and Frontier. They all suck. The big issue with Comcast these days seems to be that they do everything with contractors that just want to sell you more stuff. Or you can go to their office and stand in line for hours.
Perhaps ita staring at him transformed Shatner from shithead to awesomeness? The power of eyecontact.
My eyes, they are epic, and work for good.
Now if I could just get JAR that role in Star Wars I promised him...
I asked a developer (a developer!) to give me a text file of a directory listing, and his reflex answer was "You can't do that."
::sigh::
Sometimes you have to spell things out.
She called me today, THE SAME DAY THIS HAPPENED, because she had now, in the 30 minutes since school let out, gone through the papers and found his missing. SAME DAY CALL TO THE PARENT! so key.
OK, so the teacher's OK. I can go back to blaming mac. MAC!
So my father's going into the nursing home tomorrow -- our first choice place! My mother says I don't need to go with her, but should I? Maybe I could just leave work for a couple of hours in the middle of the day.
I'll take my answer off the air -- need to go to bed.
I think if you can it's probably a good idea. But if it would be hard to manage, it's okay not to.
