I love Shatner. He'd have been huge in Vaudeville. Then again, the Internet is Vaudeville. He knows how to keep his image in front of people, and he knows his quirks are his biggest selling point. Then he used Boston Legal to show that he was more than a bunch of quirks, there was a reason he was known as a serious actor before Star Trek.

One night we randomly saw an episode of the Twilight Zone that he was on, when he was just a wee young Shatner. He was pretty hunky. (I know that says nothing about his acting chops; I just needed to mention it.)

The deadline to switch over to the new card/payment system for transit is approaching. I've been hanging on to my old Chicago Card for as long as possible, but I won't be able to reload it after May 1st. It's not even that I'm resistant to change (although I can be), it's that they launched the new system like eight months ago and it's STILL pretty crappy and the subject of a class action lawsuit.

This is what I'm always saying at work. I'm not resistant to change per se; I'm resistant to (a) unnecessarily changing something that works, and (b) incompetent change that makes things worse. These two things tend to go together.
