In more amusing news, William Shatner has a new calling: [link]
That is made of awesome.
there was a reason he was known as a serious actor before Star Trek.
One night we randomly saw an episode of the Twilight Zone that he was on, when he was just a wee young Shatner. He was pretty hunky. (I know that says nothing about his acting chops; I just needed to mention it.)
Was it the thing on the airplane wing episode?
Heard in the lunch room: "Hey, you got a haircut over lunch!" "Yeah, it was starting to hang over my ears." "Yeah, it was getting awfully long."
It's one of the signs of the apocalypse, you know, a man's hair touching his ears.
Was it the thing on the airplane wing episode?
No, it was set in a diner, with a fortune-telling gizmo.
Did you see the Charles Bronson & Elizabeth-Montgomery-as-a-brunette post-apocalyptic episode? It's amazing how many actors I recognize in the old Twilight Zones.
I remember that one! He plays a man losing his sanity very well.
The deadline to switch over to the new card/payment system for transit is approaching. I've been hanging on to my old Chicago Card for as long as possible, but I won't be able to reload it after May 1st. It's not even that I'm resistant to change (although I can be), it's that they launched the new system like eight months ago and it's STILL pretty crappy and the subject of a class action lawsuit.
I am liking Grey's, but I hated the ep that looked at the possibilities of Yang's life based on her decision at the elevator.
I decided to alternate my Grey's and Scandal binge, and I just watched the episode before that one of Grey's...

This is what I'm always saying at work. I'm not resistant to change per se; I'm resistant to (a) unnecessarily changing something that works, and (b) incompetent change that makes things worse. These two things tend to go together.
I've been carrying both cards around for yonks, but the Ventra isn't even activated.

Perzactly.

I'm not even kidding about how happy I was to get my Chicago Card back after my lost wallet was returned.
In other news, I'm waiting on sizing info from my sister so I can buy my nieces today's Teefury shirt: [link]
