I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh! But also! I was listening to the StoryCorps podcast, and they said that had a story that was a little too risque for the radio. I think those were his exact words, but it was definitely something like that. It was a 90-year-old woman and her 65-year-old son talking about his fuckbuddy! Using that term! That's more than just a little too much for the radio, don't you think??

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

That's very good news about the home, Jesse. I'm sorry it feels sudden, and I know how that feels, but it will be for the best.

Colin's girlfriend is a tax accountant.

Am I the only one who went to a Portlandia place with that one?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

It is already a two kitty night. Or a shared one human , if I judge things from the perspective of the toe lumps of fur trapping me to my bed. One on my chest with her paw in my face and the other on my pelvis. Bladder is good for a little while longer.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I did mean to say - I'm glad one of the places you like is ready to take him so soon.

Husband, somewhat wistfully: "Maybe it's time for an accountant next year."

Oh yeah, definitely. And even though the hospital is plenty nice, I can't help but hope a nursing home will, say, change his clothes more often....

It's snowing.

Yes, although... that's also why regular family visitors are so important.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My hand is fine-ish. I just pissed the hell out of the ligaments. Nice to know nothing was broken or chipped but that means I just have to wait out the pain. Bleh.

I am heartbroken over watching the stuff my daughter is going through but it is all from choices she has made. Doesn't make it easier to watch but until she opens her eyes there isn't much I can do. Le sigh.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

About to file, and we're actually getting a refund. We'll ignore the little blip where I did something wrong and we suddenly owed money. I fixed it.

I'm sure most people wouldn't judge me for not getting taxes done early this year -- we've only moved across country, each gotten new jobs, and had both our mothers diagnosed with cancer. I guess I just judge myself, even though I would never do that to anyone else.
