So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I can't help but hope a nursing home will, say, change his clothes more often....

Yes, although... that's also why regular family visitors are so important.

My hand is fine-ish. I just pissed the hell out of the ligaments. Nice to know nothing was broken or chipped but that means I just have to wait out the pain. Bleh.

I am heartbroken over watching the stuff my daughter is going through but it is all from choices she has made. Doesn't make it easier to watch but until she opens her eyes there isn't much I can do. Le sigh.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

About to file, and we're actually getting a refund. We'll ignore the little blip where I did something wrong and we suddenly owed money. I fixed it.

I'm sure most people wouldn't judge me for not getting taxes done early this year -- we've only moved across country, each gotten new jobs, and had both our mothers diagnosed with cancer. I guess I just judge myself, even though I would never do that to anyone else.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, we'll be there all the time.

Okay, so we are not buying that house. It had serious foundation problem, so serious that I could see them easily, and luckily we brought along a friend who is a contractor who could say really seriously that buying this house would be a bad idea. Because it is, but mr. flea was all sad and disappointed.

Also, Dillo's teacher will be out for surgery in a week and out for the rest of the year and I hope it isn't cancer and I am all worried for her.

Good call, flea. And sorry about Dillo's teacher.

They help, yes. I would love if my dad had a reminder to put on a clean shirt every day; it's embarrassing to take him to church and discover he has spaghetti stains on his shirt.

This weekend Dad turned on the water in the sink to do the dishes, and then had a sudden need to go to the store. By the time he got back, the staff were in his apartment, mopping up the water, which had spread all over the floor and leaked out into the hallway.

He called me at 7:20AM today to announce that the carpets were dry. Yay, Dad. t sigh

In other words, hang in there, Jesse. And Jesse's Mom. And Jesse's Dad, too.

Jesse, I wanted to say that you are such a role model for me in dealing with parent stuff. I know it's hard, but I appreciate you sharing as much as you do a lot. And Suela too, earlier this year.

Aw, thanks, flea. I feel pretty lucky because my mother is so together and our relationship is good. Also I tell you people everything because it's more support than sympathy, I realized. I can't deal with too much sympathy.
