Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
x-post - caught it.
Hey, has anyone developed a button for your keyboard that you can press, and it will reach through the screen and punch someone who uses the term "PC"? Asking for a friend.
For politically correct? Yikes.
While I do think sometimes that instinct can run amok, in cases such as "differently abled", I find your ideas intriguing and would like to try a prototype if you ever find one, Dana.
Yeah, meaning "politically correct". Or possibly "my life as a middle-aged white man, so hard."
By "Yikes," I think I meant "Why haven't all of those people been punched in the face yet?"
I'm experimenting with my tea -- two scant teaspoons of sugar and an orange slice.
In other news, I just edited another article about the dangers of artificial sweeteners, and feeling doomed.
OMG y'all, so many horrible stories today. I'm so sorry you had to witness those things.
I am at one of those points where I'm OD'ing on stress and cortisol, but I think I'll be through the worst of this stint soon.
Except egad, I need to plan a birthday party, don't I? We skipped the parties last year, and I'm not allowed to flake on the kids two years in a row.
No one gets out alive, Amy. Two teaspoons of sugar (or the equivalent in artificial sweeteners because I am RECKLESS) is my standard. And two teaspoons of cream, but only real cream, if its half and half 4 tsps might do or I might do without, and milk I just don't take. Orange slice is an interesting idea - because it's sweeter than lemon, what's your thinking?
