Because books.

I'm experimenting with my tea -- two scant teaspoons of sugar and an orange slice.

In other news, I just edited another article about the dangers of artificial sweeteners, and feeling doomed.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

OMG y'all, so many horrible stories today. I'm so sorry you had to witness those things.

I am at one of those points where I'm OD'ing on stress and cortisol, but I think I'll be through the worst of this stint soon.

Except egad, I need to plan a birthday party, don't I? We skipped the parties last year, and I'm not allowed to flake on the kids two years in a row.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

No one gets out alive, Amy. Two teaspoons of sugar (or the equivalent in artificial sweeteners because I am RECKLESS) is my standard. And two teaspoons of cream, but only real cream, if its half and half 4 tsps might do or I might do without, and milk I just don't take. Orange slice is an interesting idea - because it's sweeter than lemon, what's your thinking?

Unrelatedly: argh, I am idiot. I've been working on this spreadsheet, including recording macros for some of the formatting, etc., that I do over and over again. I thought I had been periodically saving it, so when I realized I had missed a crucial step just now instead of trying to undo my way back to where it goes I figured I could just close without saving and be back where I thought I had last saved. Only I guess I didn't. All of today's work=gone.

I hate lemon, so yeah. I like my tea fairly sweet (no dairy), but with the diabetes I can't load up on sugar just to avoid sweetener. (And I'd rather drink tea than diet soda for a lot of reasons, but the artificial sweetener is one of them.) I think the key is I just need to drink more water, sadly.

I am so ready for birthday party planning to be over, Burrell. I figure we've got maybe two left with Sara and then we're done.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have poison in my face. Oh noes.

-t, I think we have all felt that pain. And it stings. Empathy and sympathy.

The lemonade I made a few weeks ago was the first sweetened drink I'd had in the...eight? months I've been low gly.

I can drink it a carafe at a time now that I've remembered it's an option, but then I need to spend a week or so without it. I feel all gummed up.

I need to find a beginner art class about colour, but I don't want to take a painting class since I'm never going to paint at home (too much carpeting, too little space). Hrrm.

Do low glycemic sweeteners help, or is it more complicated than that?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

All of today's work=gone.

Oh no! Terrible.

Oh, yikes.

Do low glycemic sweeteners help, or is it more complicated than that?

I haven't really researched them, and cost is a factor. Even Stevia is too expensive, given how much I'd probably use.

Like I said, I think I'm faced with learning to like water a whole lot more.

brillig

One advantage of this wide view of the valley is we can observe the buildings that are burning. Which happens surprisingly often. Wildfire season will be interesting.

Dude, if you stop ranting about how much work you've put into this and how much you've had to do, we could actually get to fixing it.
