Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ha! I'm pretty sure that the kid in the 12/2003 picture has to be my first one.

DH has been uploading a bunch of old baby pics of the kids and pic from when I was pregnant. Good times! I hadn't forgotten how cute my baby girl was of course, but I had forgotten how visceral the punch is for me of seeing her wee perfection and her infectious smile. For example, this and this

oops, links don't work

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Speaking of pics, Burrell, I still haven't given you those from that shoot, have I?

Not yet. Was just looking at those too. God, I was so young! Cody was even younger. Seems ages ago now.

There are two in particular that I am very fond of.

"Yet." A word rich with such implications, like I remember where my negative scanner thingummy is.

BUT I WILL. It's on my April list.

God, today is such a failure, it's epic.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Going back a little, thanks for the offer, Vortex. I have no idea if we'll be able to get up there. It depends on our schedule, which is fairly packed for the next couple of months. (There's also the whole Jewish funeral thing, with it being set very close to the death.)

There have been so many times lately that I've felt like screaming at people in the lab. Haven't, but I've grit my teeth a lot. Stupid crappy mood combined with lab newbies.

It won't let me see your pictures, Burrell. :(

Oh no! I guess I need to figure out how to make shared images public but not all 100,000 of them.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I AM SO TIRED.

why so much work?

I have at least another hour of stuff to do for work just so things are not a mess on Monday.

I also need to go over mac's homework, which I am guessing will be an hour.

dinner should happen at some point, although maybe not for me since I ate lunch about 3pm.

and tomorrow I have a 5K, but only if I can get enough volunteers to man the table that I am co-chair of. I did NOT get involved with getting volunteers for it because I am a flake and my co-chair said she and the past chair had been emailing. I thought that meant they had it covered, it did not.

I am almost crying tears of mixed hilarity and frustration. I'm trying to ask someone in a related department how something's going to be done, and he keeps saying "They will do it!" They have never done it before, and my team is going to be on the hook for it.

I actually walked away in the middle of the conversation saying "okay, as long as it's not my job" and kept walking when he called me back. He had to chase me to my cube to change his story.

AND! In the middle of typing this, he came up to me and said "ita! I need your help with something!" At least I got to cry legit, because the thing he needs my help with is both real and stupid. And now it rests on my powers of persuasion--I'm stuck on the signoff of the email that's supposed to make the "something" happen. "Thanks!" seems so insufficient.
