Timelies all!
Going back a little, thanks for the offer, Vortex. I have no idea if we'll be able to get up there. It depends on our schedule, which is fairly packed for the next couple of months. (There's also the whole Jewish funeral thing, with it being set very close to the death.)
There have been so many times lately that I've felt like screaming at people in the lab. Haven't, but I've grit my teeth a lot. Stupid crappy mood combined with lab newbies.
It won't let me see your pictures, Burrell. :(
Oh no! I guess I need to figure out how to make shared images public but not all 100,000 of them.
I AM SO TIRED.
why so much work?
I have at least another hour of stuff to do for work just so things are not a mess on Monday.
I also need to go over mac's homework, which I am guessing will be an hour.
dinner should happen at some point, although maybe not for me since I ate lunch about 3pm.
and tomorrow I have a 5K, but only if I can get enough volunteers to man the table that I am co-chair of. I did NOT get involved with getting volunteers for it because I am a flake and my co-chair said she and the past chair had been emailing. I thought that meant they had it covered, it did not.
I am almost crying tears of mixed hilarity and frustration. I'm trying to ask someone in a related department how something's going to be done, and he keeps saying "They will do it!" They have never done it before, and my team is going to be on the hook for it.
I actually walked away in the middle of the conversation saying "okay, as long as it's not my job" and kept walking when he called me back. He had to chase me to my cube to change his story.
AND! In the middle of typing this, he came up to me and said "ita! I need your help with something!" At least I got to cry legit, because the thing he needs my help with is both real and stupid. And now it rests on my powers of persuasion--I'm stuck on the signoff of the email that's supposed to make the "something" happen. "Thanks!" seems so insufficient.
There are fireworks in the park. I had to Google: it's our annual Dogwood Festival! But of course.
"Thanks!" seems so insufficient.
"Thanks!" is always sufficient! Or possibly I'm doing it wrong.
Am living in the future: wifi on the plane.
Survived running 4 miles! Failed to evade zombies twice, but one of those was waiting for the light to change at Hwy 12. So it goes.
Brava, -t!
My internet is out. After rebooting everything three or four times I finally grabbed my phone and googled Earthlink status. Turns out dsl is out in California. So, no Hulu for me tonight.
This, my friends, is the down side of the streaming entertainment economy...
Those stoplights are killer. But, yay!
Woe and lamentation for the lack of Internets. Yeah, there are some things I want for my very own, not just streaming.
