Question for Steph: ever since I finished my 5-day course of azithromycin (Z-Pack) I've been extremely fatigued. Like, sleep all day tired. Is this a normal reaction, or am I dealing with something else?

I know I've had that experience after the Z-pak, and I think other people said they experienced it, too (maybe Jilli?). It's possible that it's something else, but maybe give it a little more time. When was your last dose?

I also had that - the lassitude hung about for a week-and-a-half or so (as in, I'm just now coming out of it).

I don't think you should go to funerals out of guilt--go out of grief and to support the living.

I can see where he couldn't resist the challenge. Interesting. We've become so accustomed to the Daily Show and Colbert Report Stephen that it will be interesting to see what he does in this venue. More for me to record since it is way past my bedtime.

Nope. Didn't go to uncle's, won't go to aunt's, have no guilt, will send flowers. Like you say, it's a long dang drive, I'd have to take a lot of days off from work, and I have anxiety issues. (Also, I didn't like them very much.)

Wow, I didn't realize he was in the running! That means no more Colbert Report, which is sad, but he's been doing that character for a long time now. He's really talented, it's good he's getting the opportunity to do something different. It will also make me watch Late Night again.

I wonder if Craig Ferguson is feeling slighted. Then again I'm not sure he would play so well in the 11:30 time slot.

tommyrot, in my family we only go to funerals if it's relatively easy to manage. I didn't go to my one grandmother's funeral, which I do still feel a little bad about, but I couldn't afford the travel at the time. My one uncle never got a funeral or memorial or anything. My mother didn't go to her father's funeral (nor did any members of my immediate family besides my dad, who happened to be geographically available) because we couldn't manage the travel - more distant members of the family apparently remarked upon it, but the actual close relatives understood. Neither of my siblings came to the most recent uncle's funeral, because it was too far. I did because I could pretty easily. I'm super grateful that my immediate family came some fairly long distances for DH's funeral, but I clearly needed them. So.

Not going because too much anxiety seems like an okay choice to me, especially as it is significantly out of town.

CRaig Ferguson supposedly had right of first refusal. I wonder if he actually refused or if they maneuvered around him - I'm sure we'll get gossip about it eventually...

Funerals really depend on grief for me. My great-aunt died not long ago, but I didn't go, and my mother didn't even expect me to. I hadn't seen her in probably 30 years. But when a close friend's husband died, I drove down from upstate New York to go to the funeral and support her.

Yeah. I love Ferguson, but I can't imagine him in an 11:30 time slot *with* Geoff Peterson, and I wouldn't want him to give that up.
